To be fair, either people are watching cricket or they have decided that they have had too much couch watching over the last 2 years!
TRP's across the board are very low. This show competes with IBD. KSS and Bigg Boss Weekend. None of them are doing more than 1.5TRP.
By that standard it is a reasonable show in terms of response.

In my opinion, people lost interest in seeing more or less same faces - be contestants, judges, host, guests etc.

BB and II over running could be other reason

It's sort of stuck in a groove. Is not attracting new viewers, But most weekend Reality Shows are doing poorly, so may still attract ads because the choice is limited. So, may not be so bad from a business viewpoint.

Not surprised. Mostly Zee & Sony's shows stuck at same trp figures until it's final episode. When any new show starts, trp will be higher for a week or two and then down and stuck at that figure.

Not any better in Ormax!

This weekend's guests, if they were both in same episodes, of course sitting far apart ignoring each other 😆, then TRP will go up 🤣

The judges are arguably better than in Idol.
The set up is similar.
There are more people in the audience.
TCT runs both.

So, what made Idol garner so much more TRP? They rarely fell below 2.5, if ever!
Is it the Brand or the quality of the contestants. Or a mix of both?
Any thoughts?

I think reason for low trp is mix of all of these

Quality of contestants is way lower

Judges are not genuine at all and can't hide it this time

No diversity in judges (I want female judge too)

Also the brand, Indian idol is doing really well since season 10
