I don't think it was that great -- I like Amanat's version. I think that Jasraj is very talented (loved his bandish) but his attempts to fuse rock and classical sometimes fall short. I think that this where Shankar Mahadevan and Vishwanath do better. I think that Jasraj is respected by Shankar Mahadevan but Jasraj is a singer songwriter and versatile and that is something to be respected. Before anyone starts yelling at me for not being Jasraj's fan, I just want to say that he is surely talented and I want him to succeed -- I think that his rock avatar is not as appealing. Sur to me is really important and when is off, it really bugs me. Am I the only one here who notices that he has many besura notes. Also on his low notes, he is weak. But he seems to be a nice guy and I hope he and his band do well from the exposure.
