I think that Jasraj is respected by Shankar Mahadevan but Jasraj is a singer songwriter and versatile and that is something to be respected.

Before anyone starts yelling at me for not being Jasraj's fan, I just want to say that he is surely talented and I want him to succeed -- I think that his rock avatar is not as appealing. Sur to me is really important and when is off, it really bugs me. Am I the only one here who notices that he has many besura notes. Also on his low notes, he is weak. But he seems to be a nice guy and I hope he and his band do well from the exposure.

Agree with all the coloured parts.😊

I really Jasraj, and I think what he can do musically is so unique, but these past few weeks have been really hard for me to watch. I feel his performances are fine, but he's not as good as SM keeps hyping about. I feel so bad for all other people on his team because it seems like SM doesn't like them as much or maybe even at all. As a mentor, you need to be supporting to each and every one of your teammates because you as a mentor are only as strong as your weakest member. I just feel really bad for the others.

Jasraj is a talented person musically, and I am a fan of his, but I do feel that he is getting overhyped by SM. It's very annoying and frustrating to watch. I'm actually not wanting SM to come back as mentor again. He's really no different than the rest. SW are pretty good about not being biased. I really like W a lot. He gives good and insightful comments and tries to give good advice to the contestants.

Me too.

I still adore his singing and his compositions with E and L and the effortless ease with which he blends east with west.

Just want to hear him sing.😳 no more judging/mentoring😊

Jasraj needs to do something different, i.e. sing normally 😆, soon.
He has been going downhill the past few weeks and looks like even the studio audience is tiring of him! He got one of his lowest audience scores this week!

I actually his performance which took some technical skills. He just should tone this affectations. A couple of off notes were off but I enjoyed it. Also thanks to Jasraj for his request of Raag Yaman.

Can you enlighten me about the meaning of besur? Does it mean apaswara? If someone finds apaswara he or she should be able to clearly indicate the wrong swara which came in place of the required correct swara. Struggling for breath at low octaves is not apaswara, though it will be jarring to hear. Generally singers tend to stick to octave range they are comfortable with. Shankar Mahadevan during his Jugal Bandi with Quereshi almost missed his heat twice and at one place his 'Ma' (sware 'ma') was shaky. I have been listening to live performances (Carnatic, Hindustani, Jazz, Western classical) since I was 15 and now I am 61. I found that except Mohd. Aman, everyone else indulges in on jarring note or the other. But, how bad was Mohd. Aman with Rafi saab's 'Madubanume'? He not only went besurn but also betaal. Let us do constructive criticism if at all we need to do it. And, I find it funny that some people hear Jaraj with a preconceived decision to find mistakes. If his singing gives belly ache and head ache why listen? I remember when I was young one of my uncles telling me that Mohd. Rafi shouts and this comment was with respect to his Biju Baawra songs. KL Saigal, KC Day and others were his favorite singers. Ones likes and dislikes are conditioned and if one wants to enjoy music one has to be rid of conditioning.
