Vijay bro,

I honestly do not want to change my username. I love my username. It's so simple and elegant. Anything else other than *Dev.* I don't like. :( :( I have had this username for years. In fact it has become my habit whenever I login to I-F, I could type without looking at keyboard. Hope there is a way to not change.

Trust me, I would not have inconvenienced our members if that was possible.

The problem is special characters are not supported on Urls. So if we want to create a FriendlyUrl for our members we cannot have http://www.indiaforums.com/user/*Dev* (its invalid).
