LMAO! Are there seriously places on IF where the DT will censor bra and panties? This is exactly the ambiguity I am talking about. Some people will take everyday innocuous words to be explicit as well. And a model flashing her bra and panties isn't really work appropriate.

And what is explicit really – I can't say F-word, but I could probably get away with saying love making or coitus in many places (depending on sections and mods) – but they all mean exactly the same thing. 😆

Check the rules on the 1st page RTH - Vijay claims that this is a family-friendly place and explicit content and vulgarity is not allowed. But posting such ads to make money off of them is neither vulgar nor profane, and these things don't come under explicit content either I suppose.

My entire point once again - the rules are so damned ambiguous that IF itself cannot follow them.

I've also seen way too many unsecure ads that run malicious software or with links to scam websites. It is not just IF though. So many websites and blogs on the internet do this.

We only use reputable ad networks like Google Adsense / Google AdX platforms which do have system in place to make sure that no malwares are shown to the users. The ads that are being shown are both based on users search and contextual content on the page. Since we do not have a direct control on which ad to show and not to show as they are daily added and geo-targetted.

However there can be some ads that do slip through their filtering process and are objectionable to the user. We would suggest that such ads can be reported by clicking on the "tilted blue triangle" that comes on the top right side of the banner which will be directly sent to Google as feedback on that particular ad.

We have already reported the "antirape radar" ad to Google and we hope it will be taken off our site soon.

We can guarantee our members is that there are no viruses hosted on any of our servers. Even for user posts we have a pre-post filter which removes all scripts and stuff that can put our users security at risk. We even keep an active watch on the WebMaster reports and alerts sent to us through various search engines like Google and Bing which sends alerts if any embedded images posted by the members which can cause problem to our users we remove them immediately.

We cannot guarantee of the outside links that are posted by the members on the forum and for that we request our members to report such links so that we can remove the same.

No site owner wants their users to be subjected to viruses and other malwares and we have always been extra careful about it.

Thank you for your quick response. I do wish you along with the other fellow DTs make a decision as soon as possible as the show is already airing currently and there would be no point once the season is over. So kindly consider this as soon as possible.

Would you also be addressing my points about the ambiguity of rules and the logistical problems about fairly implementing them? 😊

Dear Purva,

As explained in our earlier post that we do not have a direct control on the ads that are being shown as thousands are updated daily and not practically possible pre-screen them.

However we can always take corrective steps In the event. If you come across any such ad just send us the landing URL and we will inform the ad network not to show ads of that site.

We would try to implement all the suggestions that are reasonable, fair and viable. We are always open to suggestions and constructive feedback.

Then address the issues I brought up here - https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/post/86476125

I want to know how you will ensure that each and every moderator, each and every section will interpret and implement terms like "bashing" and "explicit" in the exact same manner, consistently and fairly each and every time. How can you guarantee to me that I will have the exact same interpretations to adhere to whether I post in Fan Fiction, Ramayana, Pavitra Rishta or Love & Dating.

I think it is impossible to 100+ different individuals to agree to the same interpretations and implement it. Moreover, they have to voluntarily agree to implement an interpretation that may be different from their own. In my post, I give two suggestions.

But if that doesn't make sense, I would love to know how exactly you plan on executing this super task.

btw just want to know why mods are still not in action..look at JDJ forum..etc..

just making rules is not enough... its time to implement them..

will mods only take action if and if someone reports..? they should have a general idea of what is going on in the alloted forums and take appropriate action

I dont see anything being implemented...what is use of these rules then...

If spamming is one of the issues that has been raised here then, I think, the sole reason why people spam is to increase their posts. The day IF stops counting number of posts of each member, it is the day you'll see that spamming would stop all of a sudden.

My suggestion is that this step can be implemented for some time and if the results are as you expected then it can be continued forever.

For the different levels among members something different can be taken into account, for eg: their contribution in making this forum a peaceful, user-friendly place or their contribution in any other positive manner. Members can give +1 to each post they like and hence levels can be created. Or anything else that you think would be feasible.

Thanks.
