I appreciate the serious issues finally being addressed. I hope you make improvements to this website that help the MEMBERS because they are what keep this site running, not the celebrities that many higher-ups have gone above and beyond to protect. One can hope the same vigor will be shown to implement new rules towards the actual users of this site.
Cyber-bullying is a serious offense in most countries and can turn into a huge liability for this website because you really have not had anything addressing this until now. I would also like to point out that last year a member of the IPK forum was bullied ridiculously and shown no mercy, and had been trying to contact YOU, the owner, for months about what she faced. Emails and PMs were sent with no response to the issue, by her as well as myself and others. None of us got a response that addressed anything.
I'm not trying to point fingers but I am still wondering why it took so much effort and so much time for it to be addressed, but it is what is it...the issue may be beyond it's boiling point. So what changes now? Will we be seeing changes in how newbies or MIDs can interact with members? Limit their ability to post or send PMs? Improved response time?
I also feel groups like bashers and fangirls only formed because of biased moderation. When members of the DT themselves referred to people as bashers and showed heavily biased moderation against them, the members will only follow their lead. And this unbiased moderation has also led to many people think that announcements such as this only apply to a subgroup of members, not them. I think you need to implement some sort of guidelines for your mods that define what a truly neutral and helpful mod looks like...ie Aahaana. 😊
