For how many integer values of x is square root of 25-x^2 equal to an integer?

Answer is 3

My daughter solved that for you. The 3 values of x are 0,3 & 4.

why not -3 and -4. i answered 5 and got splashed. so it has to be 3.

Maddy, you are right -3 & -4 should work also thats what my daughter says too. She just didn't think of the negative #s before.
The answer should be 5 then but if you got splashed for 5 then maybe the ans. is 3.

haan, when i got splashed i thought that negative integers don't exist for the highly mathematical person who set that question. maybe the person is forever positive. 😊 😊
