The Sun orbits the center of the Milky Way galaxy at a distance of about 25,000 to 28,000 light-years from the galactic center, completing one revolution in about 225–250 million years..The orbital speed is 220 km/sec, equivalent to one light-year every 1,400 years, and one AU every 8 days.
This is what wikipedia says : so it probably is 250 km/sec.

hi princess. i always enjoy the long drives with the kid. its a wonder she keeps asking so many questions for which answers are not availble on google.

I think *Anjali* is from USA or thats what her profile says. I didn't check others.
Just put a search for their name in 'all forums' and it will bring up all the posts they have made and just look in their profile.
