This post is to inform about Hurricane Irene

Make sure you have the following items READY:

- Water; One gallon per household member

- Non-perishable food, that will last at least for 3 days

- Radio, and extra batteries.

- Flashlight, and extra batteries.

- First Aid Kit

- Filter Mask

- Towels, and garbage bags

- Wrench/pliers, in case things must be turned off

- Important family documents

- Items you need, such as medications

I hope you all keep all items ready. Be safe.

NYC residents: visit: http://gis.nyc.gov/oem/he/index.htm. This site will ask for your address, look it up, and check if your in an area that will require you to evacuate, and how badly the storm will be around you. You may also call 311.

All other state residents PM and I will try my best to find specific information for you!

Hurricane Irene is gonna hit my area Sat night to Sun morning. Hoping there is minimal to no damage. Stay safe everyone!

I hope everyone remains safe and don't panic, people..! That usually makes things worse.

Just be calm and prepared. InshAllah.. everything will be fine and there won't be any major damage.
