Star Plus' Ruk Jaana Nahin went off-air last Friday (24 November 2012) and its lead Aniruddh Dave seems to have already bagged a show.

As per a reliable source the actor has been finalized to play the lead in writer-turned-producer Sanjay Masoomm's upcoming project for Zee TV christenedGaziapur Ki Housewife.

The story is about a journalist who gets married to a dabang (fearless) police officer and she is later asked to leave her job and stay back at home by her husband. Aniruddh is to play the dabang cop in the show. The project has a backdrop set in Uttar Pradesh.

"There is a strong buzz that Dave will play the lead. But then it is believed that he has a two year contract with Star according to which he can only take up shows airing on that channel. But he can still go ahead and bag Gaziapur if he gets a NOC from Star," said a source.

We also contacted Aniruddh who said, "I haven't finalised on any show yet."

Let's see how things shape up from here'

but will be happy again if this happens...phle banaras or ab gaziapur...ye gaziapur hai kitni dur ye to nhi pta par phr bhi mere itne pass hone ka ehsaas hoga ..mere UP ke chhore

Two years CONTRACT with star plus. 😭 .

I kind of hoped he would play a completely different role in his next project, something that would surprise us all, but I'm still happy for him if he accepts this role and I wish him all the best!
