I'd also love for a few scenarios later on in the stage (yet before the confession) where Indu KNOWS she loves him and that she's not accepting it... so he flirts with her/teases her/irritates her knowingly...hoping she'd just accept it
At one point, he could get so irritated himself wrt her stubbornness...
Imagine one such scenario...she goes on with her usual behaviour of averting his questions/hints about their future...
Angered, he gives in to his frustrations and questions her 'Sanchi ji...so tell me you don't like me even now...and that you want to part ways after we meet at court in front of judge Sahiba!'
She looks away with a look of guilt on her face and admits softly 'No...I can't accept you like a husband Indu Singh'
'Sanchi ji...look into my eyes and tell me the same'
She looks into his eyes and replies assertively 'NO'
Flustered, he lets his emotions overcome him. Grabbing her by her wrists, he pins her against the wall 'So you tell me that the time we spent together was nothing...all I did for you...all you did for me...basically, NOTHING'
The subdued girl finds her breath become heavier by the moment. She tries freeing her wrists, but in vain 'Yes Indu Singh, ours is nothing more than a casual friendship...that's all...'
He moves closer to her face. She's once again forced to look away - for some reason she couldn't meet his eyes. Either his gaze was too powerful - or she was lying - or it was both!
He asks her, staring at the profile of her face 'Only casual friendship? Well, you did seem to get quite worried when I hurt myself... pretty anxious for my safety when I didn't return to the hideout till late...and REALLY concerned about leaving me behind alone to track down Rubina's killers myself...' he pauses as he drops his voice to a whisper 'So, do you generally worry so much about your casual friends?'
For a moment she thought she'd lost her voice. Her throat was parched and her heart racing. Why did she find his presence so overwhelming. Battling to regroup herself, she stutters to come up with an answer 'Indu Singh firstly, let go of my hand... and secondly yes... I do worry about all my friends in this manner'
He lets a small smirk escape his lips 'Oh I see Sanchiji...so, whenever you feel like it...whenever it suits you... you are happy to take comfort by leaning on my shoulders...but when I hold your hand you don't like it?'
For some reason she finds herself irritated by his comparison, even though she knew he wasn't entirely wrong.
Knowing he had an upper hand, he continues confidently 'Anyway, Sanchi ji firstly I'm not holding you down all that strongly...and secondly I have one last question for you'
He pauses for a second to observe the apparent nervousness on her face 'So if its only friendship, then why were you becoming jealous when Rubina was trying to flirt with me? You remember...when you were quite drunk from the...'
Oh no! He was bringing up her tipsy act. She wished this interrogation stopped THEN AND THERE, but didn't know just how to!
Just then she peeks over his shoulder and shrieks 'Papa...'
'I know your tricks Sanchi ji... so don't even think of...'
His sentence is cut short when he hears the irked voice of his father-in-law from behind him 'Indu Singh...let go of my daughter...NOW!'
You can imagine the embarrassed look on Indu's face and the naughty smiles on sanchi's
