Dear Star Plus,

I am absolutely appalled by your decision to end this show and even more so at how you have treated RJN. This show has hardly received any publicity from the channel and neither has Star Plus aired regular promo's to court viewer interest. I think this has been a leading factor in the reasons why the show hasn't gained as much popularity as it should have.

RJN is extremely unique with a female lead who is strong and independent, unlike many other shows that are aired in which many women are portrayed as weak and dependant on men. Also, the portrayal of real life in this show is refreshingly different to the standard Star Plus drama portrayals.

Although the TRPS have not been very high, I don't think many expectations can be held from a show that is aired at 6:30pm in the first place as it is an extremely unpopular timing. I believe that if the time slot was changed then RJN's viewing figures would definitely go up.

Your decision to axe such a bold and interesting story has surprised and upset me, as I thought that this show perfectly represented the 'Nayi Soch' tag line that Star Plus has been promoting. Unfortunately it seems that Star Plus has only been falsely advertising with it.

I hope that this appeal by fans like us convinces you to reconsider your decision and instead change the way the show is advertised rather cutting off such a promising story.

Yours Sincerely,
Homairah, UK

I have no tears to shed for this. This show was a non starter from the beginning. It was just being dragged. Very good decision to end the show, atleast will make room for some other informative show.

Dear SP

I am extremely disappointed with your decision to cancel Ruk Jaana Nahin, I don't believe that you have given this show a fair chance to succeed, you haven't promoted it since the start and the show starting 6.30pm is to early as most of the viewers are still at work or in college...I personally have to tape it and watch it later which doesn't get reflected in your TRP's.

The plot of the story hasn't been given a fair chance, the romance aspect of the story (which we have all waited for so long) has only started, but instead of what we were initially promised which was a (college driven drama) about girl fighting for justice has been sidelined for a drama regarding lost/stolen property papers.

This was a refreshing and different type of story which isn't bogged down by the Saas /Behu (mother in law/Daughter in law) relationship which most of your shows are regarding.
SP really needs to cater to the younger generation and be more innovative and break the mould of typical shows, as most of them seem to have the same plot lines (Weak male leads who are mummies boys and are unable to fight/argue to stand up for their partners), these tyes of shows are fine for a certain generation (who you cater for 99% of the time) BUT you also need to cater for the younger generation after all they are your future viewers...but you seem to be intent on alienating them rather trying to steal them form other channels...SP PLEASE WAKE UP TO THE FUTURE!!!!!
