I caught up on the post-leap episodes of Roop today and I must say that Donal Bisht is still terrible. She was already a bad actress to start off with and to give a weak actress a grey-shaded character was a big mistake. 😕A good actress would have been able to bring out the arrogance and irritation on her face when was attempting to talk back and slap Palak. The actress playing Palak is much, much better. More time is needed for Shashank to prove his mettle and his full acting potential to be judged.

RS' casting for FL has been terrible lately, as in this case. Hope it doesn't backfire for Roop as it has a good concept, though I still have doubts about the future considering it's RS. But hopefully she won't slaughter the concept like she did to Shakti.

@bold disagree. shanky doesnt need 2 prove his mettle. he'd done that in his last 2 shows. and he can pull off roop fabulously .till now they'd only shown roop's lively nature.has portrayed jagya like multi shaded,multi layered complex ckt convincingly and was applauded also 4 that.

and in jndsd also he portrayted Capt Ravish Vashishth quit fabulously. ifdont know if u had seen bv or jndsd or not bcoz whoever watched these shows will never say taht shanky ahs 2 prove his mettle & his full acting potnl 2 b judged.

hes not OTT actor. he knew minute detailing of acting how 2 give expressions mild or strong or modulate his voice 2 bring emotions in them. there r v .few actors & actresses on TV who can do this.

most r dramatic type of actors & think giving OTT rxns & actiosn & dialogues delivery is acting.

I haven't watched his previous shows. I'm not saying that he's doing a bad job, he's doing fine so far. Roop is a complex character, so I felt more time is needed to really evaluate how well he's doing as Roop's various shades come out. If he is as good as you say he is, I am looking forward to his portrayal of Roop.

Just to add onto your point about acting craft based on my general observation of Indian TV, OTT acting is not the only problem in Indian TV. Good actors like Shweta Tiwari can perform even in overdramatic scenes with realism. The other extreme is some actors getting away with poor acting under the guise of "subtlety". Though their fans attempt to justify their acting saying they're subtle in terms of expressions etc. and can't do OTT acting, the fact is they're emotionless and that scene does call for more emotion. You need the right mix of "OTT" and "subtlety" to be a good actor. At moments like this, I do wish the Indian audience was more discerning and there are genuine critics to critique the acting of Indian TV actors. I can't believe how many TV actors are over-hyped by fans and win awards despite being a terrible actor. People should prioritise acting over the chemistry of the lead couple. Just to clarify, I'm not critiquing your perception of Shashank as I haven't seen his acting before. You had an interesting point and I just wanted to add onto that discussion.

I felt Palak's screen presence was fine and can grow with time given the right exposure. I hope she's the main FL though I have low hopes seeing the promos. Her acting is so much better than Donal. Donal needs to seriously work on her expressions. It's sad to see a grey-shaded character (which is rare on ITV) going to waste because of terrible acting.

Shashank is learning and growing in his craft. I think he knows he requires more growth,hence his varied choices in roles. He was in bv for 5 years IMO he did nearly everything there ...jndsd was a waste of his time and I don't think he got a chance to learn much there . in bv he was negative, gray shaded, fully positive... Childish , naughty, serious, business like...you name it. .so he got to learn and had a very capable cast around him to add to his skills.

As for fl I have to agree.nearly everyone he worked with in balika was better than Donal. Pratyusha, anjum , sriti jha,sargun mehta, toral , aasiya and finally Sara khan from jndsd whom he worked with for a few weeks..all were much,much better

Chandani looks very small beside him whiv isn't her fault and has nothing to do with her acting. Looks wise I love her smile though I think if she slims down a tad she would be a force o recon with. As for Donal I think at least 3-4 other TV actresses look like her. I didn't feel she looked or acted inpressively ...idk what rashmi will do because if leading pairs lack chemistry the love track falls flat. Love tracks being successful is crucial to a show's success and longevity...

Just because of height ,its not good to say chandni has no chemistry with shashank .

I am not offending anyone just telling my view that she is a really good actress and height is not that big issue i feel .if she will wear heal maybe then she will look a bit more good with shashank .

Chandni height is 5 .3 and donal height is 5.5 .

Maybe makers wants someone with less height opp shashank to make it look diff who knows ...!

Btw she has proved her talent and there are so many of her fans ..problem is just one that roop leap has just started .rooplak scenes also a bit showed .

Slowly and slowly they should move from frdship to love creating chemistry btw them .

Im not liking roopshika as they r already rushing it .

I mean roop falling in first sight love with her makes me feel that maybe she not made for him lol .

Ishika character has shown very less and yes too much dragged .i too god bored seeing her .

Though she was looking bit cute and different but her acting did not impressed me as such .

Want to see more fights btw palak and ishika .

Btw ishika roop gets married ,its not much scope as ishika rude and roop we know how he is .donal acting too is ok just

If roop palak gets paired somehow ,when one will stop live life to full ,other will come support and teach to live life .

Also roop himself told palak is his angel ,so maybe when she will get to know he love ishika at first she will not like maybe feel so bad or different as she dont know she has feelings for him thats why cannot see anyone else as his best frd .

But i feel she will bring ishika to him .

In childhood last scene almost before leap palak told tujhe kabhi bhi kuchh bhi chahiye ho na life mein to mujhe bata diyo mein tujhe laakar dungi .

Also she said in after leap episodes ki mein teri har problem solve karungi .
