Sampada's pet passion

The actor introduced her hubby's boxer Jedi as a family member to the guests at their wedding reception

TV actor Sampada Vaze, who got married recently to her entrepreneur boyfriend Chris George, did a double take—a church wedding was followed by a ceremony according to Hindu rites!

Incidentally, Sampada is such an ardent dog-lover that she made it a point to fetch her husband's boxer Jedi to attend their reception at the 5-star hotel. "Since Jedi is like a family member, we even introduced him to everyone around. You bet he was enjoying the dhoom-dhaam and naach-gaana too," says Sampy (her nick name).
Also, guests who walked in presuming that bridegroom Chris was a foreigner, were startled to hear him speak fluent Marathi. "Hey! Chris is an Indian, and since Marathi happens to be his mother-tongue he speaks it better than I do. But he does deal with foreigners all the time, as he imports European wines and owns a software company. No wonder, he hardly gets time to watch my show," says Sampada. Interestingly, with her passion for exploring new places, she is considering an offer to host an upcoming travel show.
The new bride has already resumed shooting for her serial 'Rishton Ki Dorr' (on Sony), which has Anuj Saxena and Urvashi Dholakia as her co-stars. Samapada shares a warm rapport with her colleague Urvashi whose negative character Noyonika tries to snatch her boyfriend in the serial. "Off-screen, we are really fond of each other. Urvashi gives me valuable acting and make-up tips. This is very rare considering the rivalry that generally prevails on the sets," she signs off.
