Okay this is a rant following today's precap. So Baldev fans might want to skip this one.
What an ass the man is! Pardon my french😉
He's as wishy-washy as dishwater and no less dirty. Hes a good one to accuse Satrupa of being a bad d-i-l, a bad mother and no doubt a worse wife! I mean hes the root cause of this entire Sudha-Satrupa mess. But will he own it and try to redeem himself?
Nah! He's too busy blaming somebody else for all the ills. Happy to be swayed by any convincing argument - be it his parents' opposition to Sudha, Pujans advice to start a hotel chain in the wrong place, or Sudhas malign persuasion.
He could ask Satrupa not to overreact when she sees her husband's ex mistress lounging on her bed. What would he hav e done if the positions were reversed and it was Satrupas ex occupying his bed and caressing her face?
He is so nothingy, if you know what I mean, so invisible, so absent from any thing that counts. Like when Narottam is being beaten black and blue in front of his eyes. And Baldev stands still - Not so much as a sound in protest. Simply unforgivable. A parents duty - even an illegitimate parents duty- is to keep their child safe.
And if Vatsalya ran away from Satrupa, for which he blames her at every possible opportunity, then Baldev was not strong enough either to persuade him to stay. Or to force Satrupa to overturn her decision and let Vatsalya go off to study.
This is the same man who can tell a freshly bereaved mother that he no longer considers her his wife! Why should Satrupa care for him at all? Why does she?
He taunts her for not knowing how he takes his tea. I wonder did he know how she takes hers?
At least Satrupa has her work and Anami and of late Laddoo to occupy her time. What does Baldev do with his time? Plays ball games in the hope of growing a pair?
Or lovingly lacquers his ego in the hope that it will stay strong, only to fail yet again as it shatters before a strong look. Offended is a default state for him. He can switch on a sulk or throw a tantrum at Will, although even those are at best mediocre.You see he lacks the spine to make them stand out. And so he ends up looking ridiculous and very often pathetic.
He does complaints well, but only momentarily, not having the stamina to see them through. Slips them in, waves a frantic finger in Dheerus face, and then as no one pays any notice vanishes.
I do hope Satrupa has one or many lovers on the side - she would need more than the hollow man surely.
I can go on and on - but enough! CVs what is this uncharacter you have inflicted on us and where is his growth? It's 1 step fwd and 3steps back with this one. Frankly, I can't be bothered to invest in him at all! Can Satrupa or anybody at all please just erase him.
