Infront of the court of law your sentiments or emotions have no role, only the law and proof matters. But the same thing has lead injustice to happen in some cases..
Any one with a heart will admit Anami is MP and PPs daughter but the law separated them from their daughter.
Anami was trying to get free from the confinement and reach her family and Adhi was just trying to help her reach her parents safely..Both are right in their place as we know but Infront of court of law Anami was trying to flee from home and Adhi helped a 17yr old to flee from home..Both became wrong.
One such incident which left a mark in my heart was the story of Kerala's Kanchanamala, the widow of a bachelor.the tragic real-life story of love and longing between a the daughter of a Hindu landlord Kanchanamala, and BP Moideen, the son of a powerful Muslim elder in the village.(whose story of undying love is now a legend of sorts, mainly because of Ennu Ninte Moideen, the wildly-successful Malayalam film based on it )
Kanchanamala and Moideen are separated from each other, but they resist family and community pressures for decades. At one point, they decided to elope. But concern for their families stopped them as she didn't want the infamy to affect the marriage prospects of her unmarried sisters. And after 25yrs of confinement,w hen they finally decide to leave the village together, Moideen drowns in the Iruvazhinji river while trying to save passengers from a tragic canoe accident. Kanchanamala attempts suicide 6times but Moideen's mother embraces her; she finds life again, this 75+ woman is still living as a n unmarried widow of moideen, animated by his memory, and devoted to serving the poor in Mukkam. Before her death a few years later, his mother willed all of Moideen's properties to Kanchana so she could continue some of the social service work Moideen had begun.Kanchana currently runs BP Moideen Seva mandir a charitable organization started by Moideens mother to continue the social activities started by Moideen.Once ran in prosperity serving hundreds of unsheltered woman, serving education and a huge collection of books, she lost the property to Moideens relatives as she is not his wife!!!
Yes the climax of the story is Kanchana lost the property because Infront of the court of law this unwed widow of Moideen who sacrificed a whole life for him was no one to Moideen while in reality she was everything to him..May be even the judges know the truth and wanted to stand with Kanchana but they can't help it..This incident has deeply affected my mind.
The recent issues in RKC made me remember this story once again..Is there any thing that can be done to prevent such injustice happening..I think no, nothing can be done..I dnt know why I even made this post..may be I just wanted to share it somewhere.
