Hai Katha Sangram ki. Vish ke kalyan ki. Dharm, adharma, pahi kalank , hai paramarth ki, Mahabharath, Mahabharath goes the title track of 2013 MB
Katha ye purusharth ki hai, swarth ki, paramarth ki goes the title track of 1989 MB. Whether it is 1989 or whether it is 2013 the message is same, MB is the story of knowledge, wealth and power. It is the story of selfishness, it is the story of a war that was fought for the welfare of the world, it is the story of right and wrong and above all it is the story that shows the path of real knowledge, paramarth. This word is stressed both in 1989 and 2013 version. Now why I wrote these lines today. Because 3 paths crossed today. The hands were taken. Choices were made and these 3 choices are going to entangle into a war, that will have far reaching consequences.
Adhiraj represents the dharma, the hand of law, who is using the hands and methods of law to reach the culprit. The hand that assures Anami in front of Maa Kali he will bring her back Ladoo. The friend who sits with Anami and make her eat. It is Adhiraj's path to reach ladoo. The hand of dharma, the hand of law. And this man knows it is purushottam with evidence. He has the knowledge, wealth and power with him
Satrupa shows she trusts dharma, unfortunately doesnt trust it enough and uses the hand of adharma to get things done. She also has given vachan to Anami and she uses the method she knows best. She too has knowledge, wealth and power with her.
Third Anami who neither has the knowledge of grey, nor wealth in form or power on her own at this point. She leaves the hand of dharma and leaves the hand of hypocrisy and directly chooses the hand of adharma. When she yielded to purushottam's blackmail she has allowed adharma to take upper hand. This is the truth of life. The way Adharma made Anami succumb to it is the way Adharma flourishes. It is the reason Satrupa doesnt trust law or dharma enough and have her plan.
Adhiraj is the white pawn here. Satrupa looks white, plays black, Anami has chosen black. Now white, black and white and black will collide which has to expose the black in white. This is the half way point where hypocrisy will get exposed. See the key in any story that has semblance to MB is exposing the black in white. Exposing hypocrisy. Exposing those who does Ravan job telling the name of Ram. Here Satrupa is not the real villian. She is the product of circumstances, and whatever she is doing now is to protect Ladoo. But only when she is exposed what happens in LM will get exposed.
For Dheeru it is very important. Because LM has survived with the adage what happens in LM wont be seen, what is seen doesnt happen. What happened to Dheeru nobody knew. Everyone knew he was arrested and then his family suffered. This is where Pandhitayan and Jyothi differs. Pandhitayan has not seen the difficult circumstance in life and so she taught good and bad to her children in theortical fashion which is the root of Anami's problem. Jyothi she is a woman who has suffered injustice, she is a woman who has seen her children go hungry because of that injustice as Dheeru says my son knows hunger. Yet irrespective of the injustice she has raised her children as law abiding. She has bought up a son who wants justice through the means of law. This mother as rightly named is light Jyothi of the whole show. Because she fell into mud, but didnt allow mud to touch her or her children. In a way yes Satrupa is the Lakshmi of LM, but the Lakshmi of the show is Jyothi, Adhiraj's mom. Because you need strong conviction and belief to raise your children to believe in law after suffering injustice and she did exactly that.
Dheeru once again proves why he is a good guide. He makes his son think on the motive and I feel Adhiraj has latched on the motive. Also I feel Adhi heard the phone call of Anami. He purposefully didnt ask. As a CBI officer maybe he know her room might be bugged. Anami too didnt tell him which was expected out of her as she was too broken after hearing Ladoo's voice.
Sudha thinks dusk of LM is coming, here is where I will say Anami bringing Sudha before dawn is important. She is the darkness before the new day who will have to go. And what does Sudha say, Anami's brothers will die with her hands. Does she forgets Ladoo is not Anami's blood brother, but Narotham is. Or it can also mean Narotham is not Baldev's son and hence by blood not Anami's brother. But if the dil ka ristha brotherhood can happen between Ladoo and Anami a dil ka ristha brotherhood will happen between her and Narotham too. Also both Sudha and Purushottam are underestimating Adhiraj and they are not counting Dheeru in the picture at all.
Anyways an interesting battle is in the cards. What I love is the fact that Satrupa is Satrupa. CVs have not changed her character a bit for TRP. She has those shades of grey and I want those shades as such. It is after such long time I am seeing such a beautifully scripted character and Narayani Shastri is doing complete justice to it.
