Today's episode was more of a word-war action paced.
The whole entry of Sudha was shot quite brilliantly with beautiful cinematography.
Somehow, I feel despite Sudha being the ominous villain, she will have to eat her words.
"Itne saalon baad, Maa Durga, LM mein aayi hai, bali tho chadana hi hoga."
She never said who.
What we noticed today is that - it were the people of LM who were creating the chaos. They were the one playing with the colours. Throwing it on each other, dancing in mirth. Yet it got splattered on Sudha. Her face was sprayed with the Lal Rang as if she were the culprit. While the people of LM remained untouched. Anami, and Narottam came afterward, yet again untouched.
We are yet unaware of what has happened in the past. What lead to these compromises and deals being made.
Today somewhere along the line, Baldev disappointed me.
Yes. Maybe we are jumping to conclusion. Might be Narottam is not even his son. Might be Sudha is playing him. Maybe it's all just a facade for vengeance. BUT.
You know I detest this old proverb, which I have heard relentless times from elders.
" Whether the thorn falls on the flower, or the flower falls on the thorn - At the end, it is the flower which always ends up hurt."
If the people of Lal Mahal have the slightest of doubts that Narottam is Baldev's son and yet had the audacity to abandon her - then that's it. There it is, the degradation and dishonour of our society. Women, themselves are promoting it - like Badi Miya ki madam.
Yes, Anami perhaps did a cruel thing. Yes, it is almost like bringing an ex in front of her mother. Yes she might not be understanding Satrupa's pain. Maybe like they say, Sudha is using both Narottam and Baldev.
But if a man thinks he can spare loving glances, spend days around with her, encourage her to give her heart to him, her trust to him, initiate intimacy with her - and then suddenly realizes and thinks about her sound being, health, behaviour yada yada, only when it comes to stability, trust or companionship like marriage from his side... He is a bane to this society. Such thinking is what makes progress helpless.
Anami cannot be blamed right now. She is naive and proud. She connects with the feeling of being abandoned. She wants to fight for this "abandoned" woman's right - who is unlike her unable to fight for herself. Her son - Anami's brother. She is aghast at the thinking of LM, even Dadi.
Nor can be Satrupa. As we know, she had been placed into the marriage, whilst unknown of Sudha. Perhaps, Sudha was also behind the murder of her first set of twins. So she thinks of Sudha as sinister.
Yet, we could see the anguish, shock and pain in those wide eyes, as Baldev averted his eyes to Sudha's piercing and haunting questions.
And yet again, Satrupa has lost control for the first time - to an extent that she asks Anami to get lost off the premises of LM. Such anger, such fear. Badi Miya ki madam shouted at Anami - and she visibly flinched.
Therein, she must realize that something is wrong. Something was wrong. And that wrong was never corrected. Had it been corrected, there would have been peace, satisfaction. But it has just been forced to finish. Which she has to open, to heal the wounds.
There has to be some justification to Sudha as a person. Baldev's aversion shows that. She might use them - only if they allow her to. Baldev says that main tumhara baap nahin hoon, Satrupa says mein tumhari choti maa nahin hoon. Yet when asked by Anami, Dadi says he is Baldev's son.
An eccentric person, a mere fling cannot manipulate an entire family of their own will - unless they give the person a leeway or weakness. And if Baldev gave away that weakness - he is at fault, at least partially. He has a role to play. He cannot just ignore. As we saw - it was Baldev at the front. It is his fight to wage. Not Satrupa's.
