You are right..the off course reason vatsalya is dead is he had no damo..he too had a security officer in the form of tej singh but he was not able to become his damo may be due to communication problem..whatever it is,Anami is lucky or may be due to her nature she earned a damo in Poonam.😊
I think Satrupa realized what the difference is between a bodyguard and a Daamo. A bodyguard guards you, protects you, shields you, but isn't your secret-keeper, your friend, your philosopher, your guide. He's there when you're away from your loved ones because when you're with your loved ones, they should be plenty to protect you.
But this is a chakravyuh of relationships. Here you get stabbed by your own. Here your own blood wants your blood. And a bodyguard is not enough to protect you against that. Because he's visible. His role is known to all. He walks by and it's like the police walking by. You abide by certain rules and guidelines in front of him. But who, in their right mind, would think to keep quiet while a maid walks by? Or while a member of the family walks by? No one.
Tej was an outsider. A known bodyguard. When he walks by, even Avdhoot would act all sweet and innocent. But Poonam has been in that house for a few years. She is known by all. She keeps her head down and does her work meekly. She doesn't talk back, doesn't gossip, and is "just a maid". I put that in quotes because that's how many would see her. But look beyond all that and suddenly you have a Daamo. She will stand strong and proud against those that are wrong. She will fear only the family when she knows what she's about to say will blow their minds. She will not be afraid to do illegal deeds for her didi. But most of all she's invisible to those around her until she wants to be seen.
