She is Anami's Daamo

First and foremost it praises Daamo. When you call someone else a Daamo or a Harry or a Tulsi, you're inadvertently praising the original Daamo, Harry, or Tulsi. Satrupa, by saying that, praised Daamo and told her indirectly what Daamo is for Satrupa.

Secondly it sets up the scenario for Anami's future in LM. Truth be told, there's no way that the CVs will show the DNA test being anything other than positive. Because if they do it makes Satrupa's life that much harder as Anami can now return to her family in Banaras, Lal Mahal wale can hate and sideline Satrupa, and there is no chakravyuh really left. But more than that, this dialogue proves it. Poonam is Anami's shield, her protector, her partner, her friend, her guide. And the only way she can be all that is if Anami stays back and fights. Breaks the chakravyuh.

Thirdly it foreshadows what can happen in the future. Daamo has taken on every task possible for Satrupa. She would even die for Satrupa. By saying this, Satrupa has now put Poonam in a similar position. To break the chakravyuh if Anami will ever need to lose anyone it will be Poonam, her shield, her Daamo. (I sincerely hope not, but it is the logical explanation.)

But finally, and most importantly, it really explains Anami and Poonam's relationship in a few words. When Anami first entered Lal Mahal, Poonam was placed with Anami to keep watch on her and report back to Satrupa. But today, Poonam held her own and protected her didi. She accepted the blame for any wrongdoing, but didn't name Anami in anything. She has gone from being a spy to being her didi's true and strong sister and this has paved the way for Anami to get one ally that she can trust. One ally that she won't be working against. And one ally who can protect her and warn her when she makes a wrong move.

Writers kudos to you for writing such multi-layered dialogues that seem simple on the top, but when you dig deeper you realize the meanings behind them.

Now coming to the topic why i loved it..All the other characters were fixed and well explained since the beginning related to lal mahal or people living there be it Adhiraj or his assustant Ila..one character that shown lately and that too in a short role is Poonam..but she is the only one whom Anami feels home after she entered the lal mahal.What was poonam at first,just a caretaker of Anami so timid and confused but now she has transformed herself to this big that she is now called the shield,the protector,the guide of Anami.."Anami's Damo" by none other than Satrupa.Both poonam and Anami are so immersed into a strong relationship that Anami can only rely on Poonam and Poonam changed into this position so strong..Never expected cvs to give us such a beautiful surprise..i have always been saying i love Poonam and now it proves to all why should one love her..She is nobody to Anami,but now everything to her when she is surrounded by a bunch of unknown people whom world will call her family..

Well done writers..and am agree this dialogue also signifies the value of Damo in Satrupa's life..

You are right..the off course reason vatsalya is dead is he had no damo..he too had a security officer in the form of tej singh but he was not able to become his damo may be due to communication problem..whatever it is,Anami is lucky or may be due to her nature she earned a damo in Poonam.😊

reason of taking lal mahal into her account could be for not letting it go to wrong hands or to protect vatsalya return

vatsalya is alive i have doubt on it and anami love vatsalya alot it would be clear in coming episode because they have some connection

right now anami will get into shudha trap but later she will find the truth of vatsalya being alive and kept capative and she in order to protect vatsalya will send him somewhere asking him not to contact anyone

and serial will take some leap with anami turning 18 and whole property goes to her and then immediately vatsalya returnand hewould missunderstand anami and even when everyone will ask her to return vatsalya share she will notdue to her protective nature and everyone would mu her like satrupa that she is power hungary and will sideline her

ANYWAY IDONT KNOW STORY BUTFROM THAT DIALOGUE I ONLY GOT ANAMI WOULD SOMETIME GET ALL ALONE IN CHAKRAVYUH AND THE ALWAYS MENTIONING OF ANAMI IS JUST YOUNGER SATRUPA POINT TO THE FACT THAT SHE IS NOT JUST YOUNG SATRUPA BUT HER LIFE SOMETIME WILLTAKE A TURN AND WILL BE LIKE SATRUPA THE DAY WHEN SHE WILL COME TO KNOW THE TRUTH

So true. this dialogue really stuck with me and this dialogue itself has so much story behind it. and your post has explained all of it so beautifully. I was halfway through making a VM on Damo and Satrupa but now I am going to start all over again and add bits of Poonam and Anami in it too to show a transition with this dialogue as the connection.

Also I have a feeling that mid way through this series either Satrupa or Damo in her place will die and then in a real sense Anami and Poonam will take Satrupa and Damo's place in the chakravyuh respectively.

Kudos to the writers of this show again for giving out such a meaningful dialogue and the story behind it.👏 and amazing post Athene. you always explain everything in the most simplest way but leave out no point. 😊

i was also getting this bad feeling from this dialogue that maybe satrupa willdie in future because there is always need of villans in show

it can be possible that satrupa will die and shudha will fit that place and will torture anami planning and plotting
