I have a question on Adhiraj and the way he is conducting the enquiry and also on CBI's involvement in the case.
As far as I understand , the CBI is investigating Vatsalya's death as a suspicious one . So if Adhiraj is considering who gains from the death , then he would look at

1) Poojan - he had everything to gain until Avdooth was ousted as the heir
2) Satrupa - only after she brought Anami into the picture ( the logic here doesn't work... but I will try to explain what I understand which is not much)

Poojan was followed and the CBI or the police seemed to have laid their hands on jewellery that was used for payment -- which could be traced back to LM and not him ?? but Adhiraaj seems to have given up on that thread of investigation once Poojan lost his chance at being kingmaker and gaining control of the company. So he looks at the next person who benefits and that takes him to satrupa and anami.

This means

Satrupa killed her only child ( an heir , a minor over who she had full control ) and brought an impostor to take over the company. Sounds absurd doesn't it.

The reason I ask this is is his focus has shifted to Satrupa and anami ...

He could be doing this because he has

1) A suspicion that Satrupa did this ( however absurd it may seem ) and has colluded with anami and the pandit family
2)He has an axe to grind with satrupa and LM

I suspect it is 2. His questioning is all over the place and does not seem to pertain to the investigation and it seems it is more of a personal vendetta than a professional investigation.

For eg when he questioned the family , his assistant was around and that seemed ( not completely ) to be a proper investigation into the LM family, but he was alone with the pandit family.

Also , why does satrupa need the cBI's permission for a DNA test? The CBI is on the vatsalya case right ... and isn't DNA testing personal... I would agree if the CBI was brought in to lend a semblance of fairness to the case and ensure impartiality , but why should they take the CBI's permission.

All in all , Adhiraj is like a loose cannon and a loose end in an otherwise tight script... would be nice if someone can enlighten me on what he is up to .. unless he is deliberately all over the place !!!

Yeah. The whole CBI interrogation of Pathak family and the CBI consent for DNA test had me confused. Adiraj's interrogation seemed to be for personal benefits, and if so he is misusing his official powers.

Here's what I understand... the CBI official inquiry started as an investigation into Vatsalya's accident case which CBI knows is not as open and shut case as it looks. Going by their investigation timeline, they did find one contract killer linked to the case who later was later murdered right in front of CBI. The case was initially going forward with Pujan, business rivals and Narottam as possible suspect. But then Satrupa entered the scenario with this absurb twin she abandoned at birth. That girl coincidentally is from Banaras. Even from a common people's point of view there is a ugly game being played over inheritance. So the case now has turned into both a murder case and a possible case of fraud. Let's not forget Royal Steel is a huge industry with many people having their claims on it depending on their shares. So, it is natural that Adhiraj is investigating Anami's family in Banaras.
Although I understand why he was investigating Anami's background but I hated how he behaved with the Pathak family. Just because they aren't financially secure, does not automatically make them liars or opportunitist. Just because, he doesn't like their answer, does not mean he can call them criminals. He thinks he is better than those at Lal Mehal, I think not. He has the same prejudice as the royal family.

So since the scope is murder+fraud , the DNA test has to be routed through the CBI...makes sense!

Adhiraj's investigation has stopped making sense. It was okay initially with him trying to trap the contract killer, zeroing in on Pujan and even suspecting Narottam. But him going after the Pathaks made no sense from Vatsalya's death point of view... unless he is suspecting the Pathaks to have had a hand in Vatsalya's death and implanted their daughter in his place...🤔.

A more logical reason is that he is doing all this for his own personal reasons. And since we don't know what his specific motive is, it gets difficult to make sense of his actions. But from CBI POV... I don't think they have any business investigating whether Anami is fake or not. She isn't announced as the heir. Vikram or no one from the family have filed any case. What Satrupa claims is within the bounds of the family right now and is more of a personal matter... can't see how it is a matter for CBI. And if it is, the first thing they should do is order for a DNA test instead of this so-called interrogation.

I had the same question as the TM ... this answer makes sense.

I still feel that Satrupa getting a 'fake heir' does not make sense ... unless seen in the context that Vatsalya's death may have been an accident, but Satrupa, while devastated by his death, took the opportunity to get a 'fake heir' to ensure the control of RS remains in her hands. So while she is not ... or should not be ... a suspect in Vatsalya's murder investigation, she could be committing fraud by bringing in Anami. And Anami and her parents, the Pandits, would of course be complicit in the fraud, either knowing about Royal Steel, or just being guilty of selling their daughter to Satrupa.
I feel this would be Adhiraj's viewpoint and reason for investigating the Pandits.

But Adhiraj is definitely misusing his position for his personal vendetta ... he is allowing his own prejudices to blind him to facts, and to guide his thoughts and investigation. I'm looking forward to the day he finds out he was completely wrong about Anami's parentage.

He is definitely misusing his power, actually in reality he's investigating something else. Remember that scene between adhiraj and his sister talking about their mother. There is some mystery around his mothers death that's why he's so personally invested in the case, by investigating vatsalya case he will somehow reach his mother's mysterious death. That's all I can understand by his so called investigation 😆
