Yeah. The whole CBI interrogation of Pathak family and the CBI consent for DNA test had me confused. Adiraj's interrogation seemed to be for personal benefits, and if so he is misusing his official powers.

Here's what I understand... the CBI official inquiry started as an investigation into Vatsalya's accident case which CBI knows is not as open and shut case as it looks. Going by their investigation timeline, they did find one contract killer linked to the case who later was later murdered right in front of CBI. The case was initially going forward with Pujan, business rivals and Narottam as possible suspect. But then Satrupa entered the scenario with this absurb twin she abandoned at birth. That girl coincidentally is from Banaras. Even from a common people's point of view there is a ugly game being played over inheritance. So the case now has turned into both a murder case and a possible case of fraud. Let's not forget Royal Steel is a huge industry with many people having their claims on it depending on their shares. So, it is natural that Adhiraj is investigating Anami's family in Banaras.
Although I understand why he was investigating Anami's background but I hated how he behaved with the Pathak family. Just because they aren't financially secure, does not automatically make them liars or opportunitist. Just because, he doesn't like their answer, does not mean he can call them criminals. He thinks he is better than those at Lal Mehal, I think not. He has the same prejudice as the royal family.
