I don't have a problem with Mahi way getting a second season because the show, although a predictable story line, had great characters, direction, and narration to it (bonus is that viraf patel's a cutie ;D).

It justs bums me out that R.com doesn't get one cuz it has all of the above along with a new story line. The only reason Mahi way might be coming back is due to the high TRP's.. and yashraj/sony does not want to launch another new show in dec and wait for the show to catch on with the public. I guess they'd rather continue a show which already gets the TRPs.I think yashraj/sony should atleast consider having webisodes of R.com.. american channels do it... so why not??? it'll even give them the title of having first webisodes in India..
My knowledge about no Season 2 is based on the posts on this forum...I'm curious, has there been an official annoucement from YRF about No Season 2 for Rishta.com? Weren't there initial reports hinting at Season 2??
Been a while since I've posted here. Ok, the reason is Channel, Sony!
It is the most third class channel i've ever seen.. They have no guts at all, they only believe in CID.. Anyone who's home in the afternoon will realise that if you only had Sony on your tv playing, that's all you'd get freakin CID.. I've got nuthing against the show but honestly, Sony's creatives need to grow up! They even have KBC4 now which is giving all the other shows on XYZ channels a run for their money, instead what do they do.. Saas Bahu again?? If they showed re-runs of R.com instead rite after KBC dont u think it would work? since the "urban" audience watching KBC will watch it too? But it wasnt even given a chance.. It was such a ray of hope for viewers who were looking for something different!
If it were aired on any other channel, preferably Colors or Star Plus , it would have clicked, with the rite amount of publicity and less shuffling of the timeslot.. Overall Sony didnt deserve this gem of a show..

@bold: Is that really just a bonus or in fact the ONLY reason that ppl even watch Mahi Way?😆
And honestly the characterizations in Mahi Way can't even begin to be compared to those in R.com which were far faaaaar superior. In Mahi Way, characters changed colors and characteristics at the drop of a hat for no reason whatsoever.....Sid and Roshni would randomly appear and disappear for no rhyme or reason....no flow, no coherence except for Mahi's constant whining about how her life sucks when she herself brought everything upon herself and didn't learn ANYTHING till the very END also....superficial, SUPERFICIAL characters.....other than a few ppl in Mahi's family like her dad and daadi etc....everyone else was acting brainlessly by the end.....even Shiv's despo overnight proposal made no sense to me.
Rishta is on a whole another plane of awesomeness that MW can't even begin to touch even in its dreams.
Honestly this show is probably the most popular/most liked in terms of story, characters, direction, etc. out of all the YRF shows that aired. I know SO many people who love this show and came to love it after the season ended. I have hardly ever heard of somebody having a problem with this show, if they have watched it.
