first of all i completely respect your opinion
All right guys! We can ease up on this now ... I think you're saying that you're OK with 'chacun a son gout' ... great! thanks!
😊
very nice genuine guy
Yeah?! Ask Sukreet that! 😆😆
there are no vamps
No? So why does that woman walk into the office in seriously ugly garb? Y'know sexy can be done without a skirt that can be measured in inches and tops that barely stay on one's ample chest ...
that horrible actors are wearing stunning clothes in a stunning office with no plot whatsoever.
I have no complaints with the acting ... it was pretty decent ... I'm actually pleasantly surprised by the skills of other young 'uns on other serials (at least one I'm forced to watch simply to be nice to the mater & pater. Then they go to bed and I go crazy over all the stuff I've recorded 😉) ... and that is especially commendable since many are not seasoned thespians or even have formal drama training ... bodes well for the future of Indian TV ... the plot part of Rishta.com, I'm waiting to unearth ...
( oh and specially sorry for the fact i have barely punctuated)
Why should you feel sorry? I had no trouble following you!

As far as I know, extrapolation (even the figurative one to certain extent) is an inexact process
You're absolutely correct ... we are inundated by the stochastic ... interpolation may be better ... if you have enough intermediate points ... but now that I think about it ... I wonder if 'feed-forward' isn't a form of extrapolation ... that's being posited as a way brains process information ... never mind ... let's not sweat the small stuff!
who is much older
Hey! I like this part! A lot!!😆 Yup ... I've never caught up emotionally with my chronological age ... I'll be one of the very few on the planet who will die at a tender young age! 😆
I would like to say that the very basis through which you have reached to a conclusion about this show overall , is a fallacy
Well ... no ... I wouldn't characterize it as fallacious ... I hope I'm just operating on incomplete info. ... and that I shall make every attempt to rectify ... being mistress of my own world! 😆
I am fond of sarcasm and satires myself but sadly, lampooning doesn't cater to my tastes,
So ... I haven't started to lampoon ... yet ... not here ... I do it elsewhere ... and that's because the serial anymore affords oodles of opportunity ...
the 'simpleton' that I am!
Why are y'all confessing to this?! I mean ... everyone could have just said 'Hmmm ... she's obviously not talking about me! Must be the Jones' next door!' 😆 So ... if you haven't ... start saying that! Holey-Moley! Don't get needlessly bent outta shape ... after all ... there have to be simpletons in this world ... and some may be viewers of Rishta.com and their numbers may be substantial!
(at least femto percent)
Oh ... don't say that!! 'Cause then I'll want to know how one can measure and quantify femto reasons?! 😊
But I'll let you in on my modus operandi ... there have been instances where viewers elsewhere have 'threatened' to leave because the show has finally descended into being utter tripe ... and I've said: 'Hang on! Lemme help you change your mind! See ... have you thought about this? that? yadda, yadda, yadda' ... I think I actually have convinced ... at least one!! 😆😆
even the highest order of intellects
We ... homo sapiens haven't a clue of what 'intellect' is ... much less 'higher order' (I'm a born-again biologist) ... so don't count me as one of them ... I'm one of you!
25 years sooner i.e., at 40, if we are unmarried and single till then (40 is far off considering my present age).
So lemme see ... can I still do rudimentary maths? Hmmm ... 25 subtracted from 40 is ... still 15 right?! Yup ... I am MUCH older ... you're very articulate for someone that young! Or am I again operating on incomplete info?! Anyway ... is your 'jesty' friend cute? Worth waiting for? 40 ain't that old! I've done it! Trust me! And it comes around before you're able to say "Jumpin' Jehosaphat"! 😆
struggling to accept her 55-year-old father's relationship with a 35-year-old woman
Oh! Let's tell her it's OK ... she doesn't have to call her 'mum'! 😃
actually I like her scenes with her father, that relationship is portrayed beautifully in my opinion
I'll have to dig this out ... and I might dig it too! I like human dynamics ...
Please do forgive me for I used to find the goofball humor of Naved & Ravi lame on Boogie Woogie, most of their jokes were unoriginal and I rarely found them funny
Can I help you change your mind?!! 😃 The only time they were truly lame is when they descended into sh-t!!
stereotypical prude and the "dude" characters of the leads,
So ... Isha's a prude ... and Rohan's a dude? Just for me now ... I'm going to have to get those rose colored glasses out!! Hey ... I might grow to luv 'em as much as y'all do ... gimme a chance!!

You mean I flunked?! And I thought I had drunk at the scholastic trough!
Maybe it's time for me to pull out those notes on how to solve Partial Differential Equations (which may be sufficient to brush up on all the other stuff that's rusted ... because first I'll have to figure out Ordinary Differential Equations ... which will require going back to Calculus ... then algebra ... finally bonehead math) ...
But ... see ... you've already learnt to read between Kavya's lines ... and knew that she was in her early 20's ...

anything about calculus is adulterated math.

I had the advantage of knowing Kavya for quite some time so please dont worry about your math skills.

It was fun reading your posts. You remind me of my high school english teacher in a good way.

:)

That's a good idea ... I'll do that ... just hope the picture quality is decent ...

lemme know what u think abt it once u hv watched it.. hopefully u do like it.. it was one of de best epis until now!😊
Right! So here's where an elaboration of the process would have been of benefit (dunno, perhaps they've covered this in one of the past epis):
So how long has Rohan's relationship with Sukreet (?) been in existence? If it's been an appreciable length of time, then she might have guessed by now that he's either commitment averse, or just not as much in luuuuuvvvv as she ... so OK ... maybe, she hasn't ... now, given that situation, why should she give priority to a (potentially) vacuous relationship at the cost of her career? Had she known that he was not commitment averse, she might not have even contemplated interviewing ... unless she's simply trying to assess her marketability ... and then ... they're hemming and hawing over glasses of champagne (it would have been sparkling wine if it had come from any other part of the world other than Champagne, France 😆) ... you wanna ruin a perfectly good meal by dancing around a subject such as that? 😊

hmm well shud cud hv applied for the job be4 they were into the r/ship.. as u knw ppl apply for international internships/ jobs atleast 4-5 mnths be4.. n as far as i knw i guess it has been 2 mnths approx. since sukrit n rohan r committed to each other. so that means sukrit applied for her job be4 they knew each oder!
Oh ... and I fail to see the fascination with NY! This part of the US (commonly known as God's own country) is infinitely preferable! We have sun, balmy breezes, and you actually have to seek out snow ... so ... folks ... send your characters to 'Sunny California'!! 😆

😉 lol pt noted
That whole scene was set up so the 2 could sit across from each other dealing with almost identical issues ... see, if I had known where Isha was headed for her date, wouldn't I give her some privacy by not popping up at the same damn restaurant for my date?! And he's sending her a dress?!! Like she doesn't have any in her wardrobe? Oh ... I do like the fact that Indian women are dressing in 'un-native' garb as much as Indian men (who've been 'Pant-suited' much too long) ...

i dunno mite be how i percieve.. it cud b one of de best restaurants in mumbai so they planned to go to tat restaurant.. n there is no harm as rohan n isha r considered to b best friends n close to each oder.. naturally rohan cud have been interested in seeing who isha was meeting with n how tat guy was😃!

n abt buying isha a new dress tat was another high pt in their r/ship which showed that rohan cared a lot abt isha n he wanted her to wear de best outwear n looks her best.. personally i wud be so lucky to find a frend whose like rohan!

Then! The part that tee'd me off a tad was where the Kapoor fella is now a Veep at the young age of 32!

oops cnt remem who kapoor was so cnt say much abt tat!!.. was totally immersed in rohan😳😆

So ... on someone's urging, I watched my very first episode ...

give it a rest woman!
its a good show............. repeat after me sloooooooooowly .......... its a good show just coz yasu said it is and she knows it all :D

So, it appears to me, that under a very thin veneer of 'glamor' provided by the au courant sets and costume (thanks to the deep pockets of the producers) lies a stilted and thoroughly vapid dialogue!

as opposed to thoroughly vapid dialogue under a thick layer of bad taste and low production values?? I like the fact that this show has no melodrama, no kasam, no rasam, no evil saas/bahu/husband/nani/dadi.......... yadda yadda yadda
in fact esha seems to just have a dad and Rohan seems to be leading the life we all wish we could lead (at least most of the time)........ i.e. a life devoid of relatives ........... aaah bliss
i like the understated humor and as for stimulation.......... Mr. Shastri is visually stimulating......... nai??

Why you little Judas you!!! 😆😆😆 Have a nice b'day ... there's a shoe on its way!! And no ... it ain't a Louboutin!! 😆

Hey! No hitting below the belt!! Some of the KB dialogue has been fairly decent! I've luved all the stuff around the pranks of you know who (whose all mine now ... so keep yer cotton pickin' paws by yer side wommmannnn!!)
no rasam,
Hunh?! As in Sambar?!! 😕
no evil saas/bahu/husband/nani/dadi
Whaddyatalkinabout?!! Have your forgotten evil sisters and sinlaws and brothers and neighbors and fathers and the powlice and the absconding scoundrel boyfriends? Hope I've covered 'em all ... 😆😆
in fact esha seems to just have a dad
Yeah, from what I understand ... he's into younger gals (so Ms. awsum, if you ever tire of being the W.O.F.K, there might be an alternate home for you) ... and you know, I think one can say with reasonable confidence that some long lost snivelling rishtedaar isn't arriving outta the blue to surprise anyone ... that rishta will be kept at bay!! 😊 Thank goodness for small mercies!!
and Rohan seems to be leading the life we all wish we could lead (at least most of the time)
Like what?! Yasu ... Rohan appears to go to work!! You wanna do that?!! Take it from me - workin' for a livin' is the pits!!! Much better to be independently wealthy (I better break down and buy a lottery ticket) ... you ... go eat some bonbons!! 😆
Mr. Shastri is visually stimulating......... nai??
For me ... sadly ... Nahin (sorry Kavi!!) 😭
But I've already told you in that Kavita that you go right ahead and Japo his naam!!
That frees up a certain someone in whom even that n'eer-do-well 'Ronney' is losing interest!! Hah! Take that!!

It's a good thing a certain Lucasian Professor of Mathematics is long dead ... and cannot hear you ... he was a meeeeaaaann b-gg-r ... Newton ... yup the fella who survived an apple a day ... he actually refused to give any credit to Leibniz who invented the Calculus at the same time ... and he was just a general pest all around ... 😆
I had the advantage of knowing Kavya for quite some time so please dont worry about your math skills.
Nono! I won't ... but that's only because I don't have to ever wallow in that crap any more!!! Besides, if you notice I did have the right answer to the subtraction of 25 from 40 ...
so ...
advantage carolinecj; fifteen (hah!) svalecalgal ...
You remind me of my high school english teacher in a good way.
Man ... it's a good thing I just remind you of her!! Can you imagine 2 of me?!!!! Shudddderrrr!!! 😆😆

@SValeCalGal: I would like to say only two things (moderators of this forum would excuse me this once for keeping off the main topic) -

1. My MO (I would be much grateful to you if you spare me for abbreviating the phrase) though, would be stating my point of view on a subject/topic and support my argument by giving decently (or to put it in your kind words, marginally) logical and relevant reasons or so I would like to think. Now whether my point of view "inspires" someone to alter their own view point or not is honestly none of my business but I would never set out to "influence" people and get them to change their thinking, no, that wouldn't really figure on my agenda.

2. Secondly, you totally lost some of the points I made and chose to interpret things according to your convenience by ramifying and going off tangent, so, I don't wish to continue this discussion with you further (there is no point even, because digression also seems to be an integral part of your "Modus Operandi"). I bow out gracefully, good night.

One last thing before I leave this topic- I am just curious, let's assume that I am 15 years old for a moment, can I then assume that you are old enough (chronologically) to be my grandmother ? I swear I asked this question out of curiosity alone,I certainly don't intend to offend or ridicule you in anyway by asking this question and you don't even have to answer it if you are uncomfortable with it. Despite making my intentions quite clear, I still apologize, if , in anyway, I came across as offensive or rude.

Cheers!
