It was such an interesting and such a nice epi to watch! OMG! The way Ruchika was so devoted to the tulsi plant and to her fasting and everything had me all shocked. I never saw her as that before. =P

The whole parampara thing was bugging me. I was like, whoa dude, that still happens? =O So the whole epi I was cursing that father..Or well, I was annoyed at him and the way he would "interview" those boys. =P But then it came to a shocker that the girl actually wanted to keep the whole parampara going! =O

Rohan..What do I say about him..He killed me today. Jai mata di dance, tulsi stealing/eating/praying, calling up the doctor, reaction towards the father, scenes wiht Isha, his accent..GOSH! *sigh* He was dreamy today.

For Isha. I have to say I didn't like how she kept Naina on the side when planning her fathers birthday. I know it'll take time for her to get used to her..But I mean, what she did in today's epi was still saddening me. =( But I'm glad that in the end of the epi, she did accept everything and started behaving a little bit more considerate towards Naina and then took her into plan the birthday party too. =)

All in all, today's epi was REALLY enjoyable to watch. =D

Btw, loved your post! They're always amazing to read! =)

oo I didn't know that we had episode analysis on this forum as well...lol glad I found this place!!
first of all brilliant analysis!! I missed the first half of the episode because stupid Raptors (Toronto's bb team) was playing and I tried but failed to snatch the remote from my bro.
Anywho so here is my take on the episode that I did manage to see!!
As most people have already mentioned...what I like about the episode (and Rishta.com in general) is the message they provide. I really liked today's message because I really think people should know the difference between keeping with the traditions and being conservative. It is as if to mix religion and culture up...they are two very different things!
Isha and Naina: I am really liking how their relationship is progressing...Naina is very maturely handling Isha and that's how it should be. She is not imposing herself on her father...but subtly telling Isha that they both have a right on him now. Having a step parent or even your father's girlfriend around can be quite tough...but it's not necessarily bad.
Rohan and Dentist: lol even though I am total Rosha shipper...I really do like the interactions between the two. They are both trying to be the driver of this relationship and it's a constant pull relationship.
Rohan and Isha: Isha does know him very well!! And I liked how he cancelled his date to attend the meeting. I would never have thought he would have done that!
Ruchika: I love this girl...she is also an apt example of keeping up with the traditions and being modern as well!

Awesome post! You've described the epi so perfectly!

My fav. and most enjoyable moment in the epi was Rohan's mock "ouch" nautanki and the digs he took at Isha....lol....that was just too hilarious for words. Kavi's comic timing is really good!

And all the nautanki with the tulsi plant was hilarious too.

The dentist is very charming....The way her and Rohan's relationship is growing is cute....

Naina is also very sweet....I was a bit surprised at Isha's deliberate attempts to keep her away from her father's party preparations....cuz it seemed that since the last epi she had started to warm up to Naina....but not as much I guess....lol.....chalo eventually she did understand and let go in some ways....I guess it's hard for her to share her father with someone else after so many years of being the only person in his life who does everything for him.

Nandu :)

So let me reiterate every post here and say that your analysis is exceptional and like many others I await to come and read your ".02 cents".
I loved Rohan's subtle humor and his digs at Isha, and his "zor se bolo Jai mati di"!! I appreciate the fact that this show is pushing the social boundaries by showing "love"/companionship at an older age and the children growing to accept that relationship. I also quite like the non preachy aspect of the show however I did not like the message or lack their off in this episode.

I somehow think a lot is passed as "tradition" in our culture and a lot of people are subjected to ridiculous extremes under the pretext of "tradition". Having said that I do understand what Rishta.com was trying to convey that just because a certain practice does not fit our mould of "normal" does not make it weird.

I guess like everything is this world it's all about balance!!!

Awesome post Nandini - loved reading it!!

here's my 2 cents about the 31 Jan 10 epi..

Very Sweet episode!!

Laughed at the parts involving Tulsi, Rohan and Ruchika - like Ruchika put it - HILARIOUS!! Am not being sarcastic here though!! Jai mata di!! ROFL!!! and going around tulsi... ha ha ha!! Awesome job, Kavi!!

Also noticed that the clothes that Rohan and Isha wore for most of the episode were semi casual - friday dressing type - nice change, Loved it!!

The Neeraj - Ramika story was good... Ramika was great!! And I LOVED what she said about things we think are ajeeb!! FABULOUS LINE!! Kudos to the writer for coming up with lines like these! Thumbs Up!

Isha is such a sweetheart! Loved her for doing a party outside home for her father... Isha's character is written really well!!

Shruti is perfect in her portrayal of Isha - Fabulous!!

I was as surprised as Isha when Rohan canceled the date for work - hayye, sweet!!

And loved the RoSha moments -knock, come in... knock, knock.. come in... knock, knock, knock... come in mr.mehra! Awww!! and the casual teasing - how they both tease each other and the other doesn't mind at all...Hayye again!

Rishta moment of the day

I guess that would have to be the Rohan - Ruchika moments - right from the start where he calls her names to the end where he so sweetly apologizes!!

oh yes, and what Ramika said about our perceptions - will remember that line for a long time to come!!

Kudos to the entire team for a wonderful job and especially to the dialogue writer for such wonderful dialogues!

Loved the episode, as usual Rohan was the star. But I was kinda miffed with Naina, I just feel like, she needs to give Isha some time to adjust, its a big thing for her to share her father and Naina's passive aggressive approach is irking me. Anyhoo, Rohan is a sweetheart and somehow, he is in a wacky way a voice of reason in this business.

Too good yaar! Both the actual episode and your analysis!

Love the subtlety in RC the most. Its sooo NOT the blatant in your face sanctimonious preachy treatment thats done in ALL the other indian shows. This is something that makes you think, not dumb down all of your CNS thought-processes.
I like the composite twist at the end.

Loving the character of Naina and what it signifies n this piece-of-art. Love how, again, the scriptwriters don't go off on a pedantic, consequential tangent and actually are dealing with the whole family i.e naina-isha and her dad in a very interesting way (as also mature). Loved Isha for how she is ready to change for her dad and how she melts for him. Love how she is trying so hard to be non-judgmental.

And Rohan is developing by leaps and bounds and is still essentially the same old bumbling, insensitive, lovely fool.
We are just discovering new facets to him. His 'compassionate' (as said in the show-description) side is coming to the surface more often now.

Love the attention given to Ruchika and Hoseifa.

Just hope all the clarity and the dexterity and the wisdom is not lost when Isha and Rohan finally do fall in love (or just realize their feelings, as I can just see that they are half along the way to being in love already :P)

Well I am glad that Isha is having "some" problems while dealing with Naina. If she dealt with Naina without a hitch and just accepted her without having some problems with her increasing influence in her father's life, I would be bashing Isha's character for being Mary Sue-like perfect. 😆

LOL to give Naina a little bit of a chance is equivalent to being "Mary Sue-like perfect"?😆😆....Naina only offered to help...she didn't ask to take over the entire planning....so I didn't really think it was necessary for Isha to be so petty about it but I can still understand how it was hard for Isha to adapt to another person wanting to be a part of her father's life. I think they showed a nice progression to the situation with the way Isha finally realized in the end....Naina actually showed a lot of patience and understanding cuz she knew perfectly well what Isha was trying to do by cutting her out....but Isha finally opened up a bit in the end so that was nice.

Anyways, to each their own.
