Ya so coming to ur doubt , by the time things were set and he had all the proof in his hands it had become 8 pm.. And Kabir was so pissed with Shreya that he wanted to show her what he was capable of , and that's why he decides to first have a chat with her and do the bulletin... But it turned out the complete way around !! So in short it was kabirs over confidence that pulled him down. If he wasn't so offended by Shreya he would ahve turned out to be successful;!

Regina was able to pull it off because she did a live report and not unlike what Kabir was planning... He wanted to expose it from KKN ... And for that he required statements from the murderer...the police... Forensics..Mr.Joshi etc etc... So he was delayed with that!! He was so wraped up with his ego that he wanted to do it by himself !!
And coming to Ananyas death like I said .. Do wait for the next update !! I cant say more regarding the same !!
