Ok, most of us in the forum are disappointed in one way or other with the show or characters at this point. The level of disappointment and frustration varies though,,
I found the track not very convincing, and with more loopholes than typical (of the show). But I guess it is still early days...
When I look back, the creatives did give us a clue that Kabir's family has some connection with SK's case, Kabir's unnatural jitteriness while meeting his brother in the presence of Ananya was a big clue. But they also confused us with Kabir's statement (to Tarini) of disclosing all he knows to Ananya. That kind of convinced everyone including me that he isn't hiding anything.
At this moment, I find Ananya's stance very natural, I don't question where is the journalist brain in her or why she is not thinking the umpteen times Kabir risked his life for her. She didn't get a normal shock, what she got is sanity threatening blow (in fact multiple blows), the two most important men in her life, one her father, who is her first hero, whose absence shaped up her growing years and the other man, her inspiration, her 'perfect' finance, the man with whom she dreamt to share her life, and whom she trusted with closed eyes.. She learnt bitter truths about these two men, one is brutally murdered and other didn't lift a finger to get justice (atleast she thinks so). I don't know about anyone else here, I would go mad with grief and anger in her place, I totally relate to her treatment of Kabir. But have any of you noticed she wearing the bullet locket again. What does it signify. Does the locket still have Kabir's article? And she didn't utter a single word against Kabir in yesterday's episode, makes me think she is feeling pained and betrayed by him, and that makes her unable to talk to him, but his place in her heart remains the same, she can't really hate him. Her trust is shaken up, but it will slowly build up again.. Let's give her few days, she on her own will come to Kabir for explanations. Honestly I don't want either Tarini or Ronnie to intervene between them, let them solve their problems themselves, that's the sign of matured couple.. Having said that, I would like Kabir's bhaiyya and Bhabhi to have a chat with Anita about Monu's kidnapping and how Kabir was forced to give up on SK's case.
When it comes to Ananya, the biggest blooper in this track, is nothing what was shown yesterday, but something which is always indicated, I realised this loophole only yesterday when Ananaya was looking at the old newspaper cutting. If there are so many news articles about his arrest & the scam, why no article about his death? It is totally impossible, police might have declared his death as suicide, but ther should be some news item on the papers? How come Annaya who religiously collected every item on her father, failed to notice it? A very big blooper!!
Anita, her angst as a wife was understandable, but I did find her throwing the ring little OTT, not because it was wrong, but because I couldn't see the pain in her, I felt only anger emanating from her, whereas from Ananya, I felt both, or rather more pain than anger. If Anita thrown the ring in a crying fit, it would have been relatable, but what she did, looked like a deliberate attempt to belittle Kabir.
Another thing I don't understand about Anita.. Any mother in her place, would be scared for her daughter's safety, she got to know that her hubby is murdered, and she would now want her children to be safe, I can understand she wanting justice for her hubby. But this feeling will naturally be overridden by concern for her children, I don't see that concern on her, she didn't ask Ananya to be careful .. Found it very strange..
Kabir, our fallen hero!! My heart goes out to him, when it comes to Ananya, he always carries his heart in his eyes, it was never more visible than in yesterday's last scene, the way he came out of his cabin when he seen her at office, and the pleading + pained + relieved look on his eyes, hats off Rajeev, you do make Kabir much more endearing,..
Ideally he should have either told the truth to Annaya or shouldn't have pursued Ananya.. When I first read the article about this track, I had this same question, how could he pursue a relationship with Annaya while hiding such a big truth.. But aren't there people like that in the real world? Who thinks their action is justified because thier motive is pure?
And Kabir is a go getter, that has been told to us throughout the show, he himself told that he is 'ziddhi'. He goes after what he wants, and Ananya is what he wants most in the world!! How many times he told that she means the world to him. How many times he told she is the best thing that ever happened to him.
He hiding the truth, but ready to take the relationship to marriage, does it go agiant the moral fibre of him? No, Kabir doesn't live his personal life by such ethics, he is one of those people who think no action is wrong as long as it doesn't hurt anyone intentionally, and his logic here is what Ananya doesn't know, won't hurt her... Is he selfish to think so? Yes, he is, he wanting to protect Ananya is also part of his selfishness. When she hurts, he hurts the double..
I do understand why he didn't reveal the truth to Ananya, the Ananya we had seen from the start of the show, is more morally upright than Kabir who leans more towards practicality,. And this is not just any case, it is her father who is murdered, Kabir for the life of him could not have been able to stop her from pursuing the case, he was right to be weary... And interestingly he took the decision to hide, even before he had officially fallen for her, that shows the depth of his protectiveness towards her,..
If he had indeed told her the truth before, he could have atleast ensured that she doesn't make rash moves on her own, he could have continued to be her bodyguard, the opportunity he is deprived of now,
But what I don't understand is Kabir's lack of backup plan, how he was planning to handle the situation if Ananya ever comes to know of the truth? It is so unlike Kabir to not to have a backup plan.. But I guess, when it comes to Annaya and his love for her, he is no more the shrewd EIC we know of.
What was unconvincing for me in this track, Kabir's narration to Lakskman seemed half baked, there were too many loopholes, and something in that convo, made me dissatisfied.., how did police conclude the case to be a suicide just because Kabir withdrawn his statement? And how Khurana and Kabir became such friends after this case? If Kabir had the names of the people in the scam, why he never tried to go after them? That actually goes agiant the moral fibre of him for me.. His explanation to Lakshman didn't seem to cover all the bases. Is there more to the story?
I have read a post about Shreya's knowledge of the case, I have same queries, how did Shreya come to know of SK's case? I am inclined to the opinion that Kabir was already divorced when the case happened. Because otherwise his Bhabhi and bhaiyya would not have known Shreya so well (well enough to despise her). It is very obvious, after the SK case, Kabir was totally estranged from his family until the bhagi case..
But then how does Shreya know so much about the case? Was she always keeping tab on him? Seems like a possibility to me...
About the upcoming epaiodes, I do believe Ananya would soon mellow down enough to hear Kabir's explanation, she may not be able to forgive so easily, but I hope she would let him support her in the case. Tinnu's warnings sounded too ominous.. It does look like Kabir's worry about Annaya getting into trouble would come true!!
As I said in another post, I don't want the reconciliation to happen because Kabir once again becomes her saviour. If KaYa are to be together in the end, it should be because Ananya accepts & loves the real Kabir, who is not always a hero and not because Kabir indeed ends up as hero...
