As Kabeer was about to start serving the food Ananya places her hand on his hand"Main karti
hoon". Kabeer obeys her
immediately. As she serves the food to Kabeer she says"acha
lagta hai jab aap meri baat ek baar mein hi maan lete hain". Smiling, Kabeer says"acha lagta hai jab
mere decisions par tum argue nahi karti". They put forward the same idea, using different words.
Ananya remains quiet and serious, and places the utensil carrying the 'paneer curry' which
she just served to Kabeer, back to it's place. Noticing that his words have turned her quiet, he asks
"Kya hua Ananya?" "Aapse kuch puchun?" "Haan zarur jo tumhara mann kare"
"Parso apne kaha tha ki meri punishment ye hai ki hum ek dusre se ek hafte tak baat nahi
karenge. Fir aaj subh aapka message aya ki humein kisi ka interview lena hai yahan, of
course apka maksat interview lena nahi tha" saying this she meets his eyes, to know if what she said is correct or not. Getting the hint in his eyes that she is correct, she again lowers her eyes and continues "Aap aisa kyun kar rahe hain?"
Getting back, resting his back on the chair and exhaling, smile playing on his lips, he says "Tumhe kya lagta hai Ananya, 'wait', 'intezaar' sirf tum hi karwa sakti ho?" Then he shakes
his head left to right and back to left again; and repeats it thrice and says "Jis tarah tumne mujhe intezaar karwaya. Yahan aane mein waqt lagaya, ab tum intezaar karo, mere jawab ka"! They keep staring at each other. Gradually, they start with their food. Kabeer picks up his napkin to rub Ananya's spoiled lips, but Ananya quickly shows him her hand, as a way to protest his forwardness. Kabeer gives her an angry look, indicating 'This won't do with him!
She can't protest him'. Knowing him perfectly, she manages to say "aap", that he rubs her lips with the napkin, pressing the napkin too hard on her lips. as a token of punishment for having tried to protest him. Understanding it, she chooses to accept the punishment calmly.
"Mohan Brijesh ka interview kafi acha gaya" she tries to start a topic, which could kill her
awkwardnesss. "Tumhe abhi Mohan Brijesh ki yaad aa rahi hai?" he asks, creasing his
brows. She meets his eyes and blushes. "Mujhe nahi pata ki mujhe apse kya baat karni
chahiye!" she announces her state at last. Then she continues after a moment "Kya yeh
punishment zaruri hai?" Looking into her eyes he says, "Haan!" Ananya keeps staring into his eyes and thinks 'agar aap meri aankhon ki baat nahi samjh pa rahein, to theek hai main khud hi bol deti hun' "Main nahi reh paungi apse bina baat kiye". As she announces this, she holds her breath, knowing it, that what kind of question she is going to face now. But instead of asking any question, he just simply says "mujhey pata hai", he doesn't look into her eyes, and seems busy
collecting food into his spoon. Then he looks into her eyes and says "isiliye main ye kar raha hoon. Punishment issi ko kehte hain" he takes his spoon towards his mouth but instead of having the content himself, he takes the spoon towards Ananya and
slightly nods his head, asking her to have it. Staring into his eyes, she opens her mouth to have it. But Kabeer starts playing with her, he shifts the spoon to the right, when she moves to the right, he shifts the spoon to the left, he enjoys it immensely, seeing her turning vulnerable in front of him. But as for Ananya, her eyes pools up with tears, she couldn't bear it any more.
