When we sleep.
Sanjh fluttered his eyes open and with the back of hands removed the black curls,that irritated him by falling back again and again on his eyes. Having tucked his hairs he felt light and ready to rock the Gupta Villa,the medicine that Richa gave him had a good effect on him.As he tried to get up, he noticed that His dad's right plam was on his chest and Ananya's hand twisted around his waist.Bumpers ,he was trapped in between. Again blowing out his unruly hairs he decided to come up with a plan.
Slowly removing Ananya's hand from his waist, he took Kabir's palm, careful and smooth enough to not wake them up,he enjoined both of their hands and slide down the frames, sitting near their legs. Now the herculean task laid in how he would get down this double bed of Ri aunty. If he jumped, he was sure it will wake up Dad & Ananya which would result in him being tucked down again to sleep.
Sighing he decided to use the dressing table besides as his stool to get down,he had hardly stepped up on the bed to go to Dressing table, when the door flew open and revealed a smirking Manav. "Man unca" Sanjh whispered, stretching out his arms in a signal to pick him up. Manav saw Kabir & Ananya in a position, both would never agree on their own,collecting a jumpy Sanjh off the table, he kissed his forehead and latching the door,said to him "Well down my boy! Very well done"

In sleeping state, Kabir pulled Ananya closer to him "Don't Sanjh.Sleep" he said and crashed Ananya on his chest by pulling her by her waist, her back pressed on his frame and his hands snaked around her waist protectively .
It was then it ranged up to Ananya that Sanjh probably couldn't crash her on his chest,oh boy! immediately shifting and wiggling against Kabir's hold she turned to face who she was sleeping with. "Sanjh don't wiggle. Dad's too tired to even open his eyes. Please" Kabir said huskily and pulled Ananya more closer. By now her face was perfectly in his nape's crook and her hand on his arm that was wrapped around her.
Watching Kabir's face as he slept was probably the best thing Ananya was witnessing in years.She watched his contours as he slept,his pink lips were formed in a thin line, which meant he was still thinking something in his sleep,she traced the lower lip with her fingertips and they immediately turned back normal curving up in a slight smile, his hairs she noticed were bit longer than usual and untamed few streaks of grey that he refused to colour, few curls also were peeking out,she further settled his hairs and brushed his eyebrows that was furrowed. The age lines on his cheeks were perfectly speaking about his ageing, Ananya recalled it was going to be his 39th birthday in 3 days,and to her he was ageing perfectly.
She never knew when she slept watching rise and fall of his chest,cause this moment Ananya doubted will ever return in her life.

*Meanwhile Downstairs*
"I'm back" Anya jumped on Manav as soon as he opened the door hugging him tightly while Anurag silently stepped in and sat on the couch."How was the class" Manav asked her,throwing Riz and Seher the remote to TV,"Nice Man uncle when is Riv coming back" Anya out of nothing asked about Manav's older son who happened to be only a year older to her,"Riv is coming home on .. ummm holy God Anya. I can't remember when my older son is coming home" Manav scratched his head and smiled ,"Dad is always this Gajni Anya di" Riz who was letting Seher watch some princess cartoon spoke,"Riv bhaiya is coming tomorrow. Dad don't let mom know you again forgot " He spoke further and snatched the remote from Seher. "Shut up Riz! I'm your Dad ,I was just testing whether you remembered about Riv or not" Manav giggled and took over Sanjh,from the counter he sat on the kitchen licking cream from the beater.
"Where's pops!" Seher questioned, she hasn't seen him from morning since he left her in here. "He's sleeping" Richa removing her apron said,she blocked Manav in the kitchen, and kissed him as Sanjh chanted "Yucks" .
"Can I go and wake him up?" Anya called out to Manav,"Ummm..Richa don't tease me. I can't do anything with you in pregnancy you know na" Manav moaned as Richa bitted his ear lobe,"Go wake him up" Richa said & leaned on Manav.

Kabir having no strength to wake himself up,lazily opened his eyes cursing his luck ,when it came to sleep.And to his horror, he was laying with Ananya's head on the top of his chest and his arms holding her in place, unclamping his hands,he thought about when last he had feel of a women against him.He and Ananya had encountered various awkward situations while during their sting operations, but this was new.
Bang.
On second knock it dawned upon Kabir that someone was knocking on the door,he mentally noted to blow out Sanjh for coming up with such a horrendous plan to escape and spoke softly "Ananya" to stir her up from sleep.
"Pops open the door Dinner is ready cause Manav uncle and Richa aunty are sharing kiss in kitchen"
Kabir heard his eldest speaking, and snorted on kissing part."Ananya" in attempts to wake her up ,Kabir brushed aside her curls from her face."Do I have to wake up ?" Ananya lowly asked,"Yes Anya is knocking on door" Kabir sat up yawing and glanced at the clock "9:45 PM Ananya Catch up the dinner " Kabir stood up adjusting his shirt and bolting out the door, none of them speaking a word about this to each other and others.

Kabir sat quite on the couch, staring at the wall as Anya came up to him with a glass of warm water,she remembered how her Pops drinks warm water after waking up.Accepting the glass of water,Kabir gave her a weak smile and watched Ananya coming down pulling up her hairs in a pony tail and checking Sanjh"s fever as Seher poured her every information about her day.
At dinner table, All the kids were eating and speaking with their mouth full,Manav stopped Richa from scolding Kids for eating with their mouth full and Ananya was watching Anurag as she fed Sanjh.
"Patsa" Sanjh gleefully reached out for the rolls kept on the table,"Pasta" Seher corrected him. "Huh Patsa" Sanjh clapped his hands,as Kabir gave him his plastic fork to eat.
"He is never going to learn" Seher nodded her head in desperation, making the two neatly plaited tails bounce.
"You met Shreya!' Anurag passed his words to everyone,speaking for the first time. "Pls No Anurag.Not need a mood to discuss it" Kabir called off his dinner by pushing his plate aside and going on the balcony.
"We're going to a award function tomorrow" Richa sensing everyone's disappointment, spoke.
"Really? " Anya asked, the page three parties her father attended never ceased to amaze her. "Well it's only me Manav Ananya Kabir and Anurag " Richa kicked Manav who was busy in fighting with Sanjh over last piece.
"Why Anurag bro?" Anya pointed her fork at him. "Cause I'm not under 15 you dumbolina" Anurag laughed as saw Ananya going to Richa's library.
"Shut up Mr.Lame you are going there cause of Avni " Anya popped out her tongue at him and he eyed her to shut up for he'll speak too.
"I won't be able to wear my princess dress" Seher pouted & everyone burst in fits.

Kabir glanced at his clock and crushed the cigarette he was smoking, walking past everyone at the dinner he looked out for Ananya, he heard a commotion at the library, a small room with a recliner where Manav kept his music collection, and Richa her novels.
Entering the library he saw Ananya absent mindedly fiddling her cell phone, he was sure everything was okay until he saw Ananya wiping her eyes, on seeing him.
"What's wrong ?" He said leaning on the door frame,"Nothing. Drop me home please Sir" Ananya smiled her best and walked towards him.
Kabir snatched her cell as soon as she was within his reach and reached the message section.
"Hope you attend the GQ awards tomorrow, get dressed up nicely for your ex hubby 😉
-Shravan"...
Reading the message Kabir's anger burst in his veins. "Come here" Kabir pulled her in a fierce hug as she soaked his shirt..."He f**king didn't deserve you then neither now"
"Manav Can you too see what I can?" Anurag asked Manav as they stood in hallway.
"More than what you can see Buddy" Manav snirked...
