Manan groaned in utter annoyance as the door bell rang continuously, he slipped his arms from around Richa's waist quickly capturing her lips in a final peck,repositioning his disheveled hairs and shirt he marched towards the door as Richa laughed at her husband's attics.
"What took you so long to open the door Manav?' Kabir barged in as soon the Manav flung the door open ,"I guess I was having Private moments with my wife ,after such a long time and you decided to dash you perfect ass in Kabir" Manav threw draggers at Kabir, while Ananya hugged him by side. "Oops! "Kabir giggled as Richa came near him and held his mouth in her hands,"Oow oww oww " Kabir struggled in attempts to free himself.
"Seems like the investigation bug in my wife has kicked in again" Manav whispered in Ananya's ear and waited further for Richa to grill Kabir.
"You're Drunk" Richa let go of him and said,Kabir hung his head low clearly at the loss of words."I was drunk" he spoke timidly,drinking alcohol had been his favorite since Shreya had left him burning your sorrows in a drink is much easier than talking about them.
"Sir..I hope Anya,Seher ,Anurag don't find their father doing something that he shouldn't have" Richa spoke squeezing Kabir's hand and kissed his forehead lightly.
Manav sensing Kabir's reasons and his wife's super solid lectures decided to speak "Which bar did you go? 😳 .Did it had hot chicks swaying their hips at you." With that he earned a spank on his shoulder by Ananya and a *I-will-kill-you-later* look by his wife.
"Doesn't the house looks too silent for 4 kids ? Where are they?" Ananya asked sitting next to Kabir,their legs touching .When Kabir realised it, he withdrew his leg from there and crossed it over the free one."Riz had a fight with Seher over the play they are conducting at school & Anya is out with Anurag to their French classes. Sanjh is ill so he's sleeping while other pair is out in the park" Richa paraphrased the day's event in one go and left to see the kids, She always had a problem when Kabir met Shreya,he either drank after the meetings or went in solitary mode for weeks not talking to anyone .
"Sanjh ? What happened?' Kabir said uncrossing his leg in a hope that Ananya must have repositioned her leg in other direction, but his thighs came again in contact with her thighs and he decided to let it be.
"He was crying for Ananya for continuous one and half hour ,cried so hard that it made him burn down with fever" Manav said as he shuttled the door.
"And you tell me now about this? " With that Ananya ran upstairs to see the kid.
"I think I should ho too" Kabir stood to leave for room too.
Ananya sat near the bed as she saw Sanjh sleeping on the bed guarded by what Kabir called a Pillow fort. Being a split image of Kabir he was closet to her.He was 3 months old when Shreya left to pursue her career calling off her wedding with Kabir.Next few days Kabir tried handling him up but couldn't. It was then how Ananya came into the picture.
Kabir one day on being extremely late to attend his slot,had brought Sanjh to the office and left him in his office as he was sleeping. Ananya who happened to pass Kabir's office in mid session came across wailings and sobs .She immediately went in and picked up the kid ,rocking him back and forth she called him cute names .And when He opened his eyes to peek at Ananya,she knew she has fallen for Kabir's sons like she fell for his father.
His Father who was married and burdened with responsibilities and more importantly, his father who refused to love any women ever again.
Sanjh opened his eyes stretching his arms and climbed up one pillow, to see who was watching him when he was sleeping. He didn't like to be watched. Stupid Growmups! . "Ana " he sequestrated in joy, his Ananya was back. "Why was you crying?" Ananya asked as she lay next to him ruffling his hairs,"Miss Ana" Sanjh rolled over the bed,giving it in as he was still groggy from sleep by the medication Richa gave him. "Come. I'll make you sleep & I'm always there for you my munchkin"Ananya continued ruffling his jet black hairs.
Kabir stood leaning on the door,watching Sanjh sleeping and Ananya too laying next to him, having her arm draped over him. Exactly how he saw when she met Sanjh ,for first time.Being late for his news slot, 2 years back he had brought Sanjh in the office and left him on the couch with pillows.On returning ,he saw someone in his cabin,"Sanjh did he fall? " that was the first thought Kabir remembered that hitted him .On opening doors he found Ananya sleeping with Sanjh draped over in her arms ,"Miss" he had hardly spoken when Ananya stirred from her nap and kept her index finger over his lips and shushed him "Ssshh...He has just slept" She spoke quietly and Kabir nodded.
"Thank you" Kabir mouthed, Ananya's finger still on his lips,and it felt to him ,he was kissing her finger. With handing over Sanjh to Kabir she went away .Kabir had this memory still fresh in his mind.
Kabir sat on bed checking Sanjh's fever when Ananya stirred in her sleep,snuggling Sanjh more closer,this made Kabir's heart swell in admiration for her, she was giving his children what their own mother couldn't. With this thought he traced Ananya's forehead with his fingers and pulled the blanket over them.He was about to remove her bracelets that kept irritating her in sleep when his phone buzzed.
"Cafe Yellow @6:30pm"

With being no choice left,he immediately left to meet her perfect wife.
*At Cafe*
It took no time for Kabir to spot Shreya in the busy cafe,her auburn hairs couldn't be mistaken .Without addressing her in general, Kabir pulled the chairs across and sat in front of her. "Hello Darling!" Shreya smirked and kept her hand on Kabir's .
"Hello" Kabir jerked his hands "To the point. I've kids waiting for me" He finished and crossed his arms,"I want Divorce" Shreya spoke twirling her fingers on the cup."I'm more than happy to get free of you. Will throw papers on your face by few days" Kabir gazed at his reflection on the glass pane and answered.
"I want to have kids .You are not a good father" Shreya smiled and said.
"No freaking way" Kabir banged the table earning looks by others."I'll sue you honey for custody then" Shreya spoke nodding at someone, but Kabir didn't care, his kids ,No way!
"f**k yourself off ." With his final words Kabir left the cafe..
On reaching back at Manav's house,all Kabir could do was slide himself beside Sanjh & Ananya and cry to sleep.
