"Ananya" Kabir whispered out to a sleeping form over his chest trying not to disturb the second form who was also sleeping on him. "Hmmm" Ananya rubbed her eyes & cheekily smiled at him, waking up every morning in this way was the best part of her day.
She then followed his gaze.
"Oh" Ananya's smile grew bigger on spotting a curled up Seher on Kabir's chest too, sleeping soundly probably dreaming about Princes & fancy dresses. "Help" Kabir mouthed to Ananya. Careful enough not to wake up the child, Ananya leaned down & kissed him on cheek. "Figure out yourself" giggling Ananya leaped out from the bed. "Figure out yourself? Are you kidding me? If Seher wakes up, she'll be asking me three hundred questions. God!" He exclaimed, running a hand through his daughter's slight curly black hairs . Seher had always been his powerhouse since her birth, he didn't knew what would he had done if it was not her curling up against him after he'd sent off Anya to boarding at every night after stupid fights Shreya indulged him in. " It's just the start Kabir, Seher you must admit is more difficult to handle. You should really start practising how to indulge her in talks with you. Let me go and wake up Sanjh, he's frightened of waking up alone these days" She pecked him once again before bolting out of the door,Winning the little piece of Kabir's heart once again. In the world where own mother rejected her kids, came Ananya showering love on his kids as that of her own.
Seher wriggled against something hard as she woke up & seeing that their was no possible escape from the hands that engulfed her tightly in place, she sighed in defeat. "Huh! I'm trapped". Contently smiling to himself Kabir kissed her forehead and said "You very well know how to escape it. Don't you" drumming his fingers over her shoulders he left her. "I'm sorry Daddy. But" she bitted her lower lip fighting over the urge to tell her father something. "But I couldn't resisted myselfs from coming to you. I'd a bad dream, some nasty Prince stoles my flower crown Daddy" she mumbled, as Kabir stood up thanking heaven that his investing officer daughter hadn't yet fired a question on him sleeping with Ananya and quickly tossed in a t-shirt before collecting babbling Seher in his arms & walking down the living room.
The sight at living room shocked Kabir as Seher's squealing echoed in their apartment. "Happy Birthday Princess" Ananya greeted Seher as Sanjh, who was perched up on her hips clapped madly. Kabir stood astonished at his own living room,"Down Daddy" Seher pleaded her blasted father thus bringing him out of his stupor. He had forgotten his own daughter's birthday, how worse could all his fatherly instincts go. Slowly setting his jumpy daughter on the floor, he watched as she ran towards Ananya and hugged her. "Da" Sanjh opened his arms signalling his father to come & join them in the cake feast.
Ananya looked at Kabir, who looked like he would burst into tears any moment. Life was hard, and being a single father was even harder. She couldn't ever blame him for forgetting his kid's birthday, his divorce had a effect on him,an adverse effect which he too didn't knew. "Bear! Sanjh, go bring your Daddy" she hushed to the both the toddlers r, Seher holding out her brother's hand immediately ran to their father. "Daddy come cake" Sanjh pulled Kabir 's pyjama as Seher dragged him to the table. "Princess Daddy is sorry. I forgot your birthday" he confessed, "Manav says, mistakes that are not willingly made can be rec rect..." Seher quoted, "Rectified" Ananya smiled,
"yes yes that" Seher evilly smiled, Ananya smirked knowing what was on the way. "And to rectify it Daddy. You needs to buy me a new colouring set" She grinned, "You already have like 8 of them" Kabir reasoned out, knowing that he was all trapped. "I thought you wanted to rectify" Seher said dripping her small fingers into the cheese jar and started licking it. "Okay! I give up. Let's attack the cake" on hearing his father's command, not even missing a second Sanjh bolted with knife towards the cake, he needed to have it before gromnups again changed their mind.
Quickly catching Ananya before she caught up with his kids, he kissed her forehead and whispered "Happy Valentines day"
Seher gladly allowed her little brother to cut cake with her. Who now was trying his best to smear his hands on cream."Sanjhy" Ananya picked him up and placed him on the Booster seat as he pouted. Kabir picking up the plates decided to help Ananya in the breakfast. "Happy Valentines Day Daddy" Seher smiled as Kabir sat down besides her, after serving the whole meal to everyone. A new badge to his manliness. He still couldn't guess what about Ananya & his kids was making him soft. Had someone told him to serve meals to his kids, he would thrown the plates right on the person's face. "Daddy what are you doing today?" Seher again asked excited at the sight of her breakfast as Sanjh gagged on spotting tomato homemade pasta. " Nothing Bear! Just the usual office stuff, then your birthday party" Kabir said sipping his coffee & nudged Ananya, "Daddy! I want party at Baskin & Robins, they give best ice cream and hey how about going on a date with Ananya after my party" Seher grinned.
The thought process of Seher Kabir Sharma, never ceased to amaze Ananya. The things that went in her head were always a mystery for her. One moment she was talking about lala lands and other moment she was talking senses wisdom like that of a sixty year old.
Kabir chocked on his coffee, spilling over half the content over him. This was his daughter

Richa felt something warm on her forehead, but before she could comprehend what that was, it was gone. On opening her eyes she spotted a five feet something figure sitting on the couch across. "Morning" he lazily husked making Richa squirm. This man still had the same effect over her like he first made love to her. Manav always knew his kid was smart but this smart. He never knew.
" So we decided to not call Kabir uncle cause we thought he was really enjoying the party. So I called Papa, he called me sweetie, I don't like being called sweetie but he called me sweetie. Papa gave her medicine sang her a yuck song & when she slept we came to pick you up & now I'm tried, I spoke so much. I need rest. "Go enjoy your Day " He said unable to detach pain from his voice,"Let me help you" Trisha said as she lifted Ram's head. Placing his head back against the chair,she immediately tried searching his drawers. All she could recall from the times she spent with him ,was that he'd some health issues but her mind couldn't ducking recall it. "Close the curtains. Make it dark" Ram groaning in pain said. If this throbbing in his head continued ,Ram was sure he'll soon die. "No. There"He painfully pointed his finger to a drawer. Now even speaking was making his muscles tear up. Immediately ransacking his drawer, She found a sachet of medicines. Handing it over to him & making him it gulp down. Richa waited for Ram's seizure to stop.
"Migraine sucks" Ram bellowed, after finding the energy to speak. "Happy f**king Valentine day to me" He threw up his hands feeling a bit free. "You're free to go Trisha" he again repeated. "Shut up ! We're going to get you some rest & then work for design layout for Mumbai office. I would have gone on a date if I had Chris Evans or Adanan Siddiqui or Bari k or Adam Levine to date" Trisha sternly said. Ram chuckled, his voice echoing in the office as Trisha stared at him. All mushy can't come with us" Rivan said, as Anya smacked him. "Tsk Mr. RIVAN! I'm all good. Thank you for concern, Zahra mam will be leading front base. I'll leading from back base" Arjun lazily occupying seat in the food court blurted. "Like I care" Arjun shouted as Anya practically pushed him out, leading him to the reporting area.
All the while Her mind kept going to the grey track suit Arjun wore that she kept on his bed before silently existing.

" Oh Manav. How's your family " the second Manav recognized the voice all he could do was clench his hand as Ananya hugged him from crumbling down." Straight to points indirectly.
