Kabir Sharma

New York...does not go so badly until you observe a girl follow you like crazy and say that she is in love with you!

If you were like other men you would have actually considered yourself incredibly lucky.

But, history says most women consider you to be much trouble to fall in love with you...and the fact that you have a reputation of being the most insensitive guy does the trick to drive them away.

You do not wish to fall in love or marry again...you do not even expect to ever find a woman who can really understand you.

"You seem to be a sensitive guy" she tells you as she watches you play with a cute chubby baby in the supermarket, and you resist the urge to laugh in her face.

"Go and check about Kabir Sharma on the internet" You advise her "I'm sure you'll see more of my sensitivity."

"I know about you and it does not matter to me" she tells you, as if it's wonderfully munificent of her, oh so terribly compassionate and great.

"I love you irrespective of what others say about you" she says again.

"Oh really?" you ask her, eyebrows raised, "And what is said about me?"

"Well...you know..." she looks for words, "I mean..."

"I am an attention-seeker" you say bluntly, because you know that's exactly what everybody thinks you are.

"Well...that..that's what others think" she tries to put her point.

"So you don't care?" you ask her, "You don't care if I use you to gain public attention for myself?"

Her face turns red. She could have slapped you for saying this, but honestly, you're having a hard time caring.

"You know what..." you continue "Your perception about me is just the same as other...and even if you claim that you are crazy about me or love me...one thing is for certain, nothing is going to happen between us. So please stop acting kind-hearted towards me."

Even if you denied her of any romantic relationship with you, funnily you wish if there was someone who could love you without being bothered about what people said about you.

But, you will never let anyone realize about this.

Let them assume whatever they want; now you are perfectly happy for them to.

You call up Khalid that very night and notify him about your plans to return.

He tries to stops you from returning.

You smile while talking to him, a little mockingly, because despite the fact he's your superior, you cannot be forced to do anything against your will.

"I am coming back. That's final" you repeat again.

You imagine him staring blankly, mouth open, unable to say anything as he knows you perfectly well.

"Would it make you happier if book your ticket in the very next flight to Mumbai?" He asks you in a mocking tone.

Whatever.

Mumbai here you come.

Howdy partner, hmmm...have to read it again so as to understand the character. Kabir is still very mysterious..a character i am sure i will be in love with once u start unravelling him. So Kabir is showing the middle finger to all the tags and coming back with I-dont-give-a-damn attitude!! Trust a female to woo and scare a man away 😆 A diff approach...aage kya? Aur kab?
