Might be kabir felt bad that he could nt reach the truth and he broke the hope of annanya

he din't drink..he was an alchoholic once...after quitting he saved this bottle..whenever he feels like drinking, he takes that bottle out and stares at it without drinking building his self control all over again !! and then again saves it inside !! that's his self-controlling tactics after quitting !!
