A short drabble from the point of view of Ananya's deewana ( Yeah, the very guard/sipahi by the door who was staring at our stupid reporter 😆 ) I was really curious as to why that guard suddenly closed the doors at the end of fall-and catch scene and this short piece materialized. This was written in fifteen minutes, in complete daze and under strong influence of Kabir's shadow. So, It'll be reasonable to overlook typos and other grammatical mistakes.
PS. I have a horrible sense of humor. I ask for forgiveness in advance if you find this piece as completely lame one.
One Shot - I don't mind them
Guarding by the open doors, I was really bored having to guard those reporters that were taken hostage by my lord. Nothing productive to think about, I gazed at the female reporter, who was clearly pissed off by sudden chabge of scenarios they had to go through. Won't really call her beautiful, but she was better looking than my wife. My eyes suddenly caught fancy of those blingy, colorful bracelets she'd been wearing. Lovely they were.
My wife won't get angry at me if I gift her those..
My thoughts were suddenly interrupted when the feisty reporter started downgrading my character with hateful words. Before I could react, she'd already lost her balance, her arms flinging, probably expecting a heavy fall. But then, as I had anticipated, that Sharma guy was quick to pull by her waist, successfully stopping her fall.
Their eye-lock! I wish my wife would perceive me with such love filled, lingering gaze!
That man did not let her go just yet but in his low baritone, he spoke. I barely made out the words.
"I don't mind this, but I do mind them! "
I instantly knew this man held intense feelings of love towards her. He could see him smirk ever slightly as he held her, possessively, as if implying his authority over her. He had pulled her even closer.
No, I didn't care what that woman thought of me or my gaze. I was innocently admiring the bracelets. But for sure, something was burning up, between those two, threatening to burst out anytime.
My arms had started to wear, my muscles feeling the exertion of having to carrying the heavy loaded gun. I slightly shrugged, by the time those two were back in their places, the girl shouting angry words at him. Quite hot tempered! I deduced.
Unsure I was, what piqued my curiosity, but I was already straining my hearing senses to make out what they were so inanimately discussing.
The girl was attentively listening, thought her expressions said otherwise.
Words like 'A love story it is' , "With love" and "Jungle" rang in my ears as the guy held her hand, while the girl blushed furiously, her eyes boring into his, as if trying to read the thoughts he'd presented to her.
A sudden silence ensued, both of them staring at each other with a very incomprehensible aura surrounding them. I gulped.
After a minute of absolute stillness, he stirred and got up, putting his hands in pockets. he walked towards the girl, giving me a sly smile. My mind started presenting certain connate thoughts, suddenly making me feel queasy.
These urban people! Being in the middle of nowhere incites excitement in them! How shameless!
I hastily averted my eyes, my hands fumbling to close the doors. I decided to immerse my over thinking brain into playing with the spare bullets rather than be an audience of their intense, burning, sensual affection.
