I really think they are having a hard time in juggling all the 50 shades of Kabir Sharma. There are many aspects of his character and they seem unsure on how to depict all of these aspects without contradicting with the other. They are trying to blur the lines between professional and personal with his interaction with Ananya but they haven't given the proper backing for this to.happen. He thinks she has a spark, she is different from the rest and most definitely was his only staunch supporter but has she really impacted him that deeply to react in this manner? :-/
They are lucky Rajeev is playing Kabir, any actor would have a hard time in exploring the complexities of this character and not be able to strike a fine balance. Presently, Kabir's actions can be justified but it becomes too much at times and he ends up like a man holding a grudge which would have been okay if he had some deep feelings for her but he doesn't so it confuses us regarding his character graph.
Ananya on the other hand, I agree with what your saying completely in this matter. I'm really not enjoying them turning her into this emotional and immature teen when it comes to her work, She is a grown woman who has seen so much in life and has come to this point of working in such a good channel so it does not make sense. The fangirling was okay but this immature behavior doesn't go with her character. They portrayed her to be this heroine who became a journalist so that she could clear her father's name and also bring out the truth with her news but along the way, its like they forgot and let her indulge in immature and stupid antics. (Ananya reminds me strongly of Naina t times but the difference is Naina never lost sight of the reason she came into the academy, infact her constant focus on clearing Naveen's name became a lil annoying 😆 Since she cared for no one other than achieving her goal. Now I wish that even Ananya had half of that focus and rigid control)
Ananya maybe the emotional fool but she is also a very smart reporter whose thinking matches Kabir's at times so why are they wasting that?
Why the need to let her weak points be highlighted so much all the time that it comes across idiotic? How do they plan on making KaYa work if they end up making Ananya unlikable compared to Kabir?
