They're both passionate journalists, who strive for the truth.. But they face adversities differently.. While Bhaskar prefers to draw back into a coil, Kabir faces it head on..

Again, I felt like wolf-whistling the moment Rajeev was shown on the screen..

(Highly immature, I know.. But hey, he's my first teen Tellywood crush, and I go all fangirly just by watching him..) Okay, enough diversions..

Kabir Sharma, like I said yesterday is an Enigma.. As we knew it would, the news ended up being a Headline in Dilli Kranti.

The newspaper Editor/Owner guessed it right.

He was indeed trying to send a message across.. He doesn't need to prove himself, coz he's already the best in the business..

So he needs to remind people that they can be the best, if he's on their side..

That's what defines who he is, from within - Human!

Capable of portraying several emotions right from being a messiah for the needy, a torchbearer of the fourth estate, and just an ambitious man who wants to be at the top of his game, in all respects..

And the bomb is dropped.. The epic clash between the Creatives, and the Bosses..

They aren't going to telecast the news about the minister..

So, there won't be any Raat ki Muhurat mein Mooh Kaala.'

Who is the real Ananya Kashyap?

That's what the little homely scene was about.. It offered a glimpse into her life, when she's not chasing sensational news.

Her mother lives in an illusion, that her father would return home someday. Who, why, where, we do not know as yet..

But I loved the fact that Ananya's reaction was yet again a practical, real one. Maybe it's just me, but it does seem like she is the backbone of the family; emotionally, or maybe I'm just imagining things..

She is disheartened because the truth was once again concealed by layers of people's perceptions of the truth. What is worthy of a mention, is that she thinks of her missing father while she thinks along those lines..

Was he a journalist too, and a honest one at that, who had to pay a price for being himself? Perhaps yes, or it could be something entirely different. We'll have to wait and watch..

The morning after!

Isse kehte hai apne hero ke nakshe kadam pe chalna..'

Yet another feather in Kabir Sharma's cap, and that in turn adds on to the respect, and admiration she has in her idol..

Poetic justice.. That's what it's all about.. Will Kabir ever be at the receiving end of it, remains to be seen..

'Aloo ke paraanthe khaane hai mujhe'! That was soo funny, and Real! And Kritika NAILED it! That is Ananya Kashyap for us, ladies and gentlemen, if any..

She shunned food, coz she was depressed, and whoa, the headlines just perks her up.. One more attribute that makes her one of us..

'Sach mein, Hero ne khush kar diya..'

Stoning at the newspaper's office..

Yet another aftermath that follows the sensational exposing of the Minister's unlawful wedding.

Okay, I gotta be really crazy to be saying this.. But I am in awe of Kabir.. Even in the event of a destruction, I couldn't take my eyes off him! 🤪

He's shrewd, manipulative, and yet there is a bit of compassion hidden inside him. We saw a glimpse of it yesterday when he offered to help the elderly peon.

He wasn't faking it.. He didn't have to..

And ditto today.. He's apparently a star, senior journalist and yet watching him lending a helping hand to the staff says volumes about the man he is.. It's going to be suuper interesting to watch his professional camaraderie with Ananya, the newbie..

He wasn't pretending when he said he understood the employee's fears, and very smartly made them feel like superheroes. Signs of a leader, who leads by example..

That, again was sooo Captain Rajveer.. (Sigh! My heart breaks each time I think of LRL) Anyhow..

The frantic search for his phone.. He has already gauged the opposite party's weakness. They need him just as much as he needs them!

And there we go! We have the man, confessing it himself.. He doesn't need fame; he is famous already..

What he needs is Power.. It's this nasha that drives him to be the best..

That pretty much sums it all..

He knows he's capable of great deeds.. And he wants to be the voice behind those!

Dilli mein garmi bohot badh gayi hai.. Kya aapke office mein AC hai?' Okaay.. That calls for one wolf-whistle*

That wicked, knowing lop-sided smile on his face speaks for itself.. 😉

Aww.. I really felt for Ananya when she's stunned into silence..

That's exactly what would happen to one if you're put in front of the man you idolise the most.. 😆

Tch..Tch.. The poor girl is going to be subjected to several taunts soon.. Imagine her plight when she gets to know he's going to be her Boss!

Eagerly awaiting tomorrow's episode.. 😛

The clash between Khalid, and Bhaskar was edgy, and wonderfully etched..

The former has no qualms about dismissing his loyal Editor-in-Chief.. It was just another replica of our corporate world. If you can't deliver, you're shown the door..

There is no room for emotions and ideals in Business..

Bhaskar, did have to pay a huge price for his silence..

One man's loss is another's gain.. And that paves way for the Hero to walk straight into KKN..

And of course, the symbolic walk of Victory # 2..

His final question to his ex-boss..

How does one define Truth? He answers it himself, and that's what makes him who he is..

It's not what it seems like..

It's what you want it to be.. Or so he believes..

But there's something that struck me hard..

Kabir also believes that it's his fitoor - the one thing that drives him to be a class apart..

But we also know, that fitoor, aka unsoundness is never healthy.. Even the mightiest fall..

Do I sense an inkling of the future? Only time will tell.. 😎

Overall, a superbly directed and enacted episode..

The acting, direction, sentiments, dialogues were all exceptionally good today; the makings of a good, intelligent story.

My only concern is that I do not want the basic concept of the show to be diluted for the sake of accommodating a love story.

As much as I am looking forward to watching Kritika and Rajeev's crackling chemistry, and the makers exploring a professional relationship between the two, I would honestly love it more if they do not compromise on the pillar that the show is based upon - Strength of their characters and the bold concept..

That's what sets Reporters apart from the rest of the ongoing stuff on Indian TV.

I agree with what you said. And your contrat between Bhaskar and kabir is so true. Both are passionate journalists but while Kabir would dare Bhaskar would not. I still feel Bhaskar is an enigma we would enjoy seeing unfolded.

Another mystery I think is in the whereabouts of Ananya's dad. So that is another track which we may see in future
