Star One's Remix has a special guest lined up to mark Tia and Anvesha turning 18 on the show. Music director Bappi Lahiri has not only composed a song – Lets do the dance, but will also make an appearance with the entire cast.
I feel younger
Describing his debut on the small screen, Bappi Lahiri said, "I had loads of fun shooting with these youngsters. For me, it was like going back to the 80s when these guys must have been kids.
The energy on the sets was so amazing that I felt younger than these kids." Lahiri has spent over 32 years in the industry and feels that the funky beats he's famous for are coming back in the clubs. "I composed the song Lets do the dance for Remix, which is my signature style."
Bappi da is a style icon
Shweta Gulati who plays Tia said, "I couldn't imagine I was in the same room with him. For me he's like a style icon. We have all danced on disco dancer as kids.
He's really down to earth and sweet. I personally was a bit nervous with him being around, but the vibes he gives off make you feel at ease." The remix cast recently renewed their contract, and there were rumors that the actors had an issue with their new package.
Rubbishing these talks, Shweta said, "I can't talk about the rest of my crew, but I am more than happy with the renewal. Rose is the best place to work with.
They pamper us to the core and make our life easier." Gulati adds she hopes the show doesn't end in the near future, "For me Remix is more fun than work. I wake up each day getting excited about the scenes I am doing."
He is adorable
Priya Wal who appears as Anvesha on the show says, "Bappi da's episode has a great party theme with song and dance." She mentions that Bappi Lahiri is more adorable in real life than on screen.
"With his jazzy personality, the show has gone to a new level which is so much fun." The episode featuring Lahiri will air on September 1.
