Part 2'
Anvesha and tia were getting out of their house all ready for jogging. They looked around the place. It was too beautiful. Birds chirping. A nice autumn breeze was blowing. There was no one around. Wow. This couldn't have been better thought anvesha to herself. And bruno barked twice in agreement.
Aashi kneeled down and cuddled Bruno as she said- our thoughts are soo alike na my cutuu babby. Hain na hain na' awww' babbyyy..
Tia smiled at anvesha although hard as a stone from inside, but with bruno and with yuvi she was as soft as cotton candy. She shook her head and smiled.
Tia- Chal you play with bruno, in that time ill go call Yuvi.
Yuvi was their neighbour since class 6th.
But they had known him since nursery since they were in the same class. And now even after coming to college they were in the same class.
Anvesha paid no attention to what tia said but she could feel that familiar tingling sensation that she got in her stomach everytime she heard yuvis name. Yuvi, she, Tia and sid had been the bestest friends since 2nd. They had never broken up. and even in 11th before opting the streams they had sat down and had decided which one they all liked. Lately since around 11th end Anvesha had started feeling sort of uncomfortable around yuvi. She felt shy and reserved when he was around. When she consulted sid and tia about why she felt that way, they had pounced on her like a lioness pounces on her prey. And since that day not a single day went without tia and sid pairing yuvi and aashi.
aashi remembered the farewell of class 12th when yuvi had for the 1st time kissed her on the cheek. That night she had called him and told him that she loved him. And had gotten a sullen response. He had said he loved her too but as a sister. she had broken down on the phone. And had cried herself to sleep. They had never discussed that incident ever after that. But that was the time she had made herself cold and unvulnerable. Now it had been 5 months since that day. but aashi still felt attracted to him. She dint know whether he still loved her as a sister or not. But one thing that everybody had noticed was that since that day yuvi had created a sort of barrier in between the two of them. He distanced himself from aashi as much as he could. Although tia and aashi were sisters but tia generally sat with sid who was tias best friend. And aashi was left alone coz yuvi would go and sit with this really snobbish girl, meher, who had also been with them since nursery. And lately yuvi and meher had started mostly keeping with each other. Aashi had always felt jealous around meher, and now she wanted to steal yuvi away from her.
Sometimes she felt like barging at them and asking them wats going on and sometimes she just felt so helpless in herself. Yet she never broke down in front of them. She would cry when she was alone. Sometimes when she came back from college she would run into her room and would lock the door and cry. Cry till she dint have any tears left.
Yuvi had broken off from her and the group all thanks to her. He talked to sid and tia though. That she knew because she saw his name in the received calls of both their cells. But he wouldn't even take her calls when she called him. She had suddenly changed from a childish loving girl to a monotonous quiet girl. It was as though she had in one go aged several years.
Seeing her loneliness sid , tia and akhil had bought her a dog now also known as bruno. It was the only thing which had stopped her from collapsing.
She was always with a heavy heart. But somehow even tia and sid had stopped noticing her anymore.
As she thought about her life tears welled up in her eyes. But she quickly cleared and wiped her eyes.
Just then tia came from the opposste lane and said-
'yuvis with meher. He is going jogging with her.'
aashi- no problem. Lets go call anvita and sid.
She said trying her best to hid her disappointment. Atleast theres anvita, aashi thought to herself.
Anvita was sids big sister. a company she had never thought she would have. Anvita had always been a great support to aashi. whenever aashi felt heavy in her heart, she would go to anivta. The only problem being, anvita was not of her year. Aashi was in 1st yr and anvita was in 2nd year. Or aashis life wouldn't have been that bad.
They soon reached sids place, where both sid and anvita were already ready waiting for them. From there sid and tia walked together, and anvita and aashi walked together. When they reached the sports complex, they saw yuvi and meher getting out of mehers car. Meher looked around and saw them. She whispered something in yuvis ears and pointed at them.
Suddenly they both started walking towards them. Sid and tia were walking in front while Aashi and anvita were walking behind them. Yuvi and Meher approached sid and tia and bade them hi.
Then leaving yuvi standing with sid and tia, meher came towards aashi and anvita as she said-
'hey anvita'
anvita- hi meher
meher- hey ash. how are you? Long time no see?
Aashi- heyy. Ya that's true.
Then meher looked at yuvi who was also looking at meher and pointed towards anvita and aashi with her eyes.
yuvi took a deep breath and approached them.
Aashi could already feel her heart racing, would he finally talk to her after all these months, she thought.
As he came there he looked directly at anvita and said-
'hey anvita wassup?'
anvita- nothing yaar. You tell me?
Yuvi- nothing as always. Soo how you doing?
Anvita-im doing good. And you?
Yuvi- same here
They both smiled at each other.
Then yuvi gave aashi one last look then turned and went back to tia and sid, and as he went
he took mehers hand in his taking her with him.
Aashi could just feel her heart becoming more and more heavy with every step that e took. But he dint look back. He just went on with sid and tia.
Anvita slowly put her hand on aashis shoulder and she said'
'koi baat nahi yaar. Forget it. Its high time. He doesn't care about you.
And Without her own accord a tear fell out of her eye and she wiped it and said'
'I know.'
Just then nakul came from behind and surprised them.
nakul- Hey ash. hey anvita. Kya ho raha hai?
Anvita and aashi- kuch nahi yaar.
aashi- listen guys im going for my jog.
nakul- ok bye.

As aashi was jogging she couldn't help but notice yuvi, meher, sid and tia who were in the tennis court.
She looked down at the ground and wondered whether it was just her imagination or were sid and tia distancing themselves from her too. It was as though suddenly meher had replaced aashi in the group. She just hated herself to think that way, but she somehow felt like meher was having her bit of the fun. I mean the way meher and yuvi were giving each other high fives and the way they were whispering in each others ears again and again. That was the time when the hatred had began to swell up in aashis heart for yuvi, meher, and maybe a little for sid and tia too.
