For one, channel has NEVER listened to it's audience. I'm speaking out of experience. We started a similar petition on MJHT forum, but got no positive response. We called up star one people, they said, they will work on it, they will work on it, but did they? NO! One great CV from the show said that audience don't matter to them. The only thing that matters to them is TRP. But with Remix, TRP is not going to be an issue. It was one of THE BEST shows ever. But with the current situation on Star one, with the revamp and all taking place, there are high chances that even though remix will return, the original charm will be lost.One hour telecasting is next to impossible. And in half an hour, focusing on all the leads equally is impossible. That too, I'm speaking out of experience. If we get remix back, we want it the way it was. Otherwise, it would be better if it isn't brought back. Cause I cannot stand the characters getting ruined all thanks to Star One's idea of romance and comedy. They'll try to fit in mindless romance here and there. And the show would be turned into a comdey circus.The youth element won't be there any longer. So if they guarantee us that they'll bring Remix back with it's original flavour, only then we want it back. Otherwise, we've got memories of the show. But i cannot stand my eternal favorite show getting ruined.

I can NOT believe a channel like star one which had such amazing shows like HK, SS Sarabhai (in addition to remix) has degraded down to THIS!
And I have a feeling that by their "bringing back shows like remix" they mean to bring in a show which they think is remix-like but will end up with something else altogether.
I think I can preditc what's happening. They have a new show Jaane Pehchaane se yeh ajnabee based on the five star hotel theme. While, till now it is OK as such, I don't think it can ever reach the brilliance of Hotel Kingston ever.
I think star one was doomed the day it started going "desi" and started incorporating the whole desi elements with the typical behenji type characters and all things bad about desi-ness like excessive tears, lame tracks, way too over the top melodrama.
It was started as a channel for the metropolitan crowd and it succeeded in doing that as people from the cities were anyways BORED with seeing all the "desi" shows with regressive settings. That was the USP of the channel...its sophistication and its shows reflected that. It had great characters who weren't always preaching about one thing or the other. They also were stylish, very urbane and unapologetic to be so. The tracks were always hatke and those which I could relate to with minimum of melodrama. They kept the story going WITHOUT the need to go off-kilter in all tracks. THAT was why I started watching the channel.
THEN they started their "desi" wave and the channel was doomed.
And now they are thinking of going back to "remix-like" shows well I think they should stop introducing behenji-type characters in every damn show of theirs! There should be atleast one channel which the intelligent urban crowd can watch and relate to. If I want to watch typical rural saas-bahu sagas or people shooting each other off, I will go to other channels.
It's lost its identity, its quality, its sophistication.
