She stood alone on the terrace gazing at the sky, cool breeze blowing soothing her soft skin as the million stars in the sky made her eyes twinkle . He stood at a distance enticed by the sheen of her hair. He moved towards her breathing in the sweet smell of her skin, it made his head spin with pleasure .
With her presence around him there was nothing else that would ever cross his mind. She meant the world to him.
Still it was so hard to confess his feelings to her or for her to accept how she felt for him. It has been 3 months since they last spoke to each other as a result of a silly argument . But today they graduated it was the last night together, it was midnight a mad party in progress inside with every student dancing as if there was no tomorrow because at the crack of dawn their journey in Maurya would come to an end and they would all head towards anew start a new beginning and a new life.
Yuvraj knew it too, and so dis Anwesha.
Standing behind her he thaught to himself " its either now or never! forget your damned ego yuvi
if u dont tell her now she will go away from your life and this lonesome night will wrap you in its arms forever "
He gathered all his courage n stood next to her staring at the silent sky
She turned to face him and her lips broke into a soft smile
his soul was captured by the luster of her lips he has never seen anything as beautiful as the pearlescent face in front of his eyes .
His heart skiped a beat as he felt her soft breath on his face He knew he was slowly and silently becoming a slave of her hypnotic glare
They stood their in an eye lock for what seemed an eternity
She looked into his eyes and could see her whole world in there she did not realise how close she had moved to him she could feel his skin against hers
The Glitz in his eyes the warmth of his breath the fragrance oh his perfume was making her weak in her knees she pulled away from him and resumed her older position and stared at the reflection of the moon in the silver lake
He turned to face her n leaned back on the railing and finally broke the ice and asked her why she was standing their alone
she smiled softly and said that she stood there beneath the sparkling starry sky trying to discover herself as she wants to leave her past of maurya in maurya itself and step into a more consistent life with maturity and stability
He had never heard her speak with such maturity and grace ever before He realised how just how elegant she looked in her red knee length flowing dress The girl he knew 3 months back has now transformed into a beautiful lady of elegance n grace The butterfly had freed herself from her cocoon and was now about to spread her wings and fly towards a new horizon to live a new life .... without him...
No No No this was the last things he wanted her to do ..start life afresh without him
He wanted her back in his life . He wanted to be the slave of her beauty and soul for life.
She turned towards him n said "isnt this night the most beautiful night ever seen ? the silent lake
the pearescent moon .... its silver reflection in the lake i havent seen anything as beautiful as this"
"but I have" he whispered softly gazing in her eyes.
"what do u mean?" she asked in a confused tone.
he glared sharply in her eyes ,dominating her he said " You know exactly what i mean Ashi!"
Yes she knew what he meant ! she knew he was talking about her. The mere thought of it made her blush.
She turned away to hide her now red Cheeks n stammered " N-No I don't "
and started to walk away .
He stepped forward n held her by her hand .. She gasped!
he pulled her back towards him and held her by her shoulders she could feel his warm breath on her neck
She was breathing faster, her heart was racing She knew it ,she knew she was loosing herself to him
She trembled in his arms , he slowly turned her to face him
She was looking down she did not want to look into his eyes, He placed his finger under her chin
she looked into his eyes a small tear trickled down her cheek
he wiped it with his finger ,he held her wrist and started moving towards the stairs
She asked where he was talking her
He turned to her , placed a finger on her lips n said " Ashi i dont know what tomorrow hold for us all i know is i have this one night in my hands and i dont want it to slip out of my grip like sand,
come with me , trust me for once, lets make this night into something unforgettable , tomorrow you will fly away to a new beginning but my soul will remain shackled here forever and this one night will give me a reason to breath when your gone....."
She walked with him ,they ran down the stairs across the street, towards the lake
they stopped ... and looked around, it was beautiful , it felt like magic .....
on the shore stood a man with his boat Yuvi went to the man asking him if he would take him into the lake , he nodded in affirmation.
He walked back to her took her hand n guided her to the boat he helped her into the boat and then seated himself next to her .
the boat rowed , rowed towards the middle of the lake She looked around looking at every beautiful detail! he took her hand n dipped it inside the cold water .. she was taken by surprise
"Heyyy! take this now" and splashed water on him.. he moved his face left to right trying to avoid the cold splashes of water , seeing this she laughed , her laughter captivated his attention he again felt captive of her hypnotic voice. He forgot everything the only thing he knew now was her and his pure love for her he held her face in his palms , she stopped laughing as his touch sent shivers down her spine She felt herself getting lost in his eyes, her heart was once again pounding in her chest , She wanted to pull herself away from his grip.
before he could free herself from his grip He whispered to her , "Ashi, you are my most beautiful dream ever , your presence takes me to heaven, you are the best thing that ever happened to me , your beautiful! Ashi i love you , i dont know what i would do without you ! Dont go Ashi Dont leave me , Be mine ... Be mine forever ... i promise i wud never let u regret this decision.. trust me ...Please...
She had no words to say, she was dying to hear this, she would have even given her life in return of his love .
She for the first time was falling short of words .... She had tears in her eyes.
She hugged him tight , her head buried in his chest , his arms tightly wrapped around her body.
"Oh Yuvi! why did u take so long ? why? "
"Im sorry" he said taking her face in his palms " do u love me ashi?
She nodded n whispered " I do .. I do!"
it was breezy , her hair blowing on her face .. he removed the strands oh hair from her face n lightly kissed her cheek
she smiled , the tears were gone, their eyes shined with streaks of love.
She sealed her promise of being his forever and ever with a loooong passionate kiss in the middle of the lake under the midnight moon as Selene , Goddess of Moon, showered on them the glittering light of LOVE.......
