'Siya Ke Ram' to be shot in Sri Lanka

The team of the upcoming mythological TV show "Siya Ke Ram" will be soon travelling to Sri Lanka to shoot the exterior portions of the kingdom of Raavan, which will be played by actor Jayaram Karthik.

The shoot will happen in December once the locations are locked.

"The show is getting shot at various locations in and around India. We have just finished shooting some portions in Bhuj and will be going to Bhutan very soon," said a source from Triangle Productions.

"The idea is to get out and shoot at the untouched locations that mother nature has to offer. We want to give authentic look and feel when we showcase Raavan's house hence, a team will be shooting in Sri Lanka for that," the source added.

"Siya Ke Ram", which will be aired on Star Plus, will bring a fresh perspective on "Ramayan".

The show will feature actors like Dalip Tahil, Bijay Anand, Grusha Kapoor, Aashish Sharma, Karan Suchak, Bhargavi Chirmule, Snigdha Akolkar and Sampada Vaze.

Newcomer Madirakshi will be seen as Sita.

"Siya Ke Ram" will go on air from late-November.

Hehe thanks Mithu. It's a perspective and it is not only about Agni pariksha for Sita or her abandonment in the jungle. There r other things too. Bali Sugriv fight is another dubious plot. Ram Ji had hid and aimed at him while he was busy fighting Sugriv, another one is what if he had not known or been told that ravan cd only be killed if aimed at navel? Would the outcome be same? My biggest issue though is indeed the abandonment part and I have never been able to let it settle. Thanks for understanding dear.
Yes I have been V busy. We moved office again and this time it's permanent, Thank God lol. Then karwachauth came in... And I will be now going to my in laws house in lucknow for diwali for about ten days. Will surely join u guys whenever possible. Will keep dropping in between. Till then u guys rock the forum. Hehe

Ruchi, abandonment part of Sita due to Dhobi is a highly controversial theory which some feel isn't true coz it's only mentioned in Tulsidas Ramayana ...nothing of this sort is in Valmiki Ramayana ... In that it's mentioned that two sons , Luv & Kush, were born who later took education in Valmiki ( his own ) ashram ... so this cld b that later as they grew up they went for their shiksha at ashram. SKR is not going to touch upon this subject & will end on a happy note with ram becoming the king .
