I am sad! The swan song for the fabulous four! Loved getting to know you guys through your creative efforts, moods, humour, pathos, and rationales.
First off, Shwets. Starting from the bottom - that pair of Sanny and Ashish. Put that on their passports and they will hold up all queues at airports, because every official will spend a few minutes gawking at their extreme beauty!😆[HE WON! HE WON!] Today, I did not feel sad for them because I know that tomorrow things will be happy. Sanny and Ashish are literally blinding in their beauty this last week. Perhaps as Diya said, their emotions are not reserved for the camera alone - they are both feeling the pathos of the show ending and it is transfiguring them.
The Dhruv Myrah scene was touching. What a moment for Rudra to walk in his bedroom door and see the woman that he now loves asleep with his child. I feel the cvs should have included at least one look, one caress for Dhruv, his shareer ka hissa, jigar ka tukda. But time is running out. We must move on!
This week is a good week for Rudra Pratap Ranawat. He does what he normally does, but with different results! Gets drunk and articulate - but this time, stays the same when he is sober. Runs away, but leaves a note and a gift! Well known trick in the book ladies! This is a BSD ex-officer here. Goes off to Mumbai and dances his heart out and wins a trophy even, masquerading as one Ashish Sharma!😆 Has the girl save him, instead of him saving the girl! Girl professes her feelings in front of everybody, and he returns them, in front of everybody. When that sorry, metrosexual excuse of a man taunts him with clearly no understanding of who has actually won and lost, he does not break his face, but congratulates him.
I remember a similar week happened to me in 2011. India beat Pakistan in the ICC ODI World Cup at the top of the week. I went for my first job interview after seven years of being a stay-at-home Mom in the middle of the week and on the weekend, I got my offer letter and India won the championship! Heres a haiku I wrote back then!
Explosions. Screams. Shouts.
Eleven men in blue are Gods.
India. World Cup Champions.
Heres what I think. I think Paro was watching as Rohit taunted Rudra. I think she got mad! When Myrah was staring at Rudra (as usual😉 and he was staring back as usual 😉) she caught her attention the way all spirits do -- a puff of wind in her face. And as Myrah put the portrait back straight staring into that pensive face, the chandelier began to fall. Paro could not have said it better ... phaisla? OK Myrah missy, I am going to give our man an injury and lets see how you react. Aha! I thought so!
So we segue into the haldi ceremony, with Myrah looking like an absolute flower, and predictably, asking for Rudra. As Diya said, everyone knows except Rohit.
Very few things left. I hope, hope that Rudra asks Myrah tomorrow what brought her to his wallet/home/son/heart. I hope that we see what Rudra gave Myrah. I hope the show does not end on their hug, but continues for a minute of family happiness.
T, this angst is short lived. And it was also from your acrostic, facing up to the truth. The truth shall set you free. And thats what I hope from tomorrow - freedom for Rudra forever, from grief and sorrow. Because Paro will never let him feel that again. Freedom for Myrah through love and passion. Freedom for Dhruv to enjoy a Mommy and Daddy again, a Mommy sent special delivery by his physical, emotional, spiritual Mommy. Freedom for the Ranawats to forget all the dysfunctional roadblocks in their lives and move on to be the hatke, slightly dangerous, force to reckon with family they had the potential to be.
Folks when you visit Udaipur, dont forget to stop by Ranawat villa and pick up some Mohini/Shatabdi theeki mirchi achaar, not to mention some pretty lahariya dupattas and saris and aromatic spices. If you are scouting schools, you might see a very Westernized vice-principal running one of the posher ones ( I figured Myrah might as well be a teacher, she went to college and is great with kids). And if you are a celeb or someone who needs protection, Ex Majors security service might do that for you, and if he does it himself, you will most definitely be safe, but, ah, will you be safe from yourself? Your beating heart? Think about it!
But if you go on from Udaipur and visit the desert, you might see a mirage or two. Of a girl, a beautiful girl, not your typical Rajasthani girl, but beautiful, running like the wind, chasing, wait is that? A butterfly? And on a dusty road, thundering down with incredible noise and speed, you mght see an arrogant, tough looking, handsome uniformed man on a phatphatiya in hot pursuit of that girl. The sky might seem tinged with myriad hues, reflecting their mutual passion - whats that word in Hindi for color? Oh yeah.
Rang.
But as mirages always do, the girl and man will vanish and you will see just sand and sky, but you have this strange feeling of unrest, of yearning in your heart...
And your vehicle speeds on.
