A lot of us (including myself) have been critical of the channel and its treatment of Rangrasiya. I don't like colors and this shall remain unchanged. However, I do have a major bone to pick with ST and Co. But before I go any further I would like to CLEARLY state that regardless of my issues, I will still be grateful to the team for giving us RR and for creating Paro and Rudra. PaRud have made a home in my heart and that is due to the CVs as well as Sanaya and Ashish.
But I will always have this slight resentment towards ST for his cold behaviour towards the fans of the show. Sometimes in his response he has been quite rude and has indirectly accused the viewers of trps condition and for the general state of the show. You can't tar everyone with the same brush and that is what he has done. He seems to give off the impression that all fans are a nuisance. Yes fans can go OTT when swept away by emotions. But that is no excuse to show irritation towards them - loyal fans that have stood by the show no matter what. He should be equally appreciative of the fans because generally speaking we have been rather patient and understanding of everything that has happened with the show. There have been flaws with ST and his team and yet we have been quite gracious about it all.
And RS. Ok, he's probably been bombarded with lots of messages in recent days but seriously? Why the need to be so dismissive of disgruntled fans? Listen to their grievances...tax thodi na lagta hai?! If a large portion of the fanbase wants Paro back then why not graciously accept their wishes? The show is coming to an end - at least end it on a happy note..it will ease the pain. But nope. Instead viewers are criticised for illogical thinking. Come on. We are talking about Desi soaps here. Logic kider hai ji? And then viewers are expected to be more logical. Ha! Lo kar lo baat. Using the argument of logic for your own convenience. And above all, they shouldn't have played with the emotions of fans. If we go back and watch some very key moments in the show, there has always been a strong indication that Paro and Rudra are destined for each other. The "main tu hamesha" dialogue has now been proven hollow. Seriously, ending their epic love story gave Rangrasiya an early death.
The problem with Desi writers and production houses is that in comparison to Non-Desi shows, they lack the courage to accept their mistakes or shortcomings, and are not so much open to criticism. Sometimes I get the impression as though they believe they are doing a big ehsaan on us by making shows. Look at some American shows. The amount of criticism they get from both domestic and International viewers over fracking up storylines but they don't tell viewers, "dekhna hai toh dekho." This line of thought is quite insulting to be very frank.
Last time I tried to be critical of ST, some members thought I was being disrespectful. I don't think I'm quite articulate and my argument can be misunderstood. Like I said, I still appreciate ST for giving us RR. But I do not appreciate his behaviour towards the fandom in general. I understand that this is his show, he will be disappointed with it going off air. Lekin taali dono haaton se bajthi hai. If you want respect, you need to give respect. Simple as that. And I don't think the team of Rangrasiya (excluding SanIsh and cast) have shown respect to the fans.
And in my defence, I haven't been around much. So if I sound like a broken record or if you've heard it all before, my apologies. But I was waiting for this time so that I spit it all out! Ab joote aur tomatoes maarne hai toh maaro. Hum dheet hai. Bardaasht kar lenge. đ
End note: Still pulling my hair out that the show is ending. It's still killing me that we won't be getting our Paro. Regardless of my grievances, never gonna forget this show.
