How about that... the Rukhmani family's sole purpose is to guide Paro towards Rudra. They have a representative ready and waiting when the need arises!!
Needless to say that the current Rukhmani guarded the wallet so nobody except Myrah would find it!! 😆
So much for the staff at the Boutique Hotel. 😆

Words from the mouth of babes...Why would a woman who looks like my mother be in Udaipur is she were not my mother? Bright child. 👏

Rudra and Maithili; Rudra and Dhruv; Dhruv and Koel...very nice bonds...they share, talk and depend on each other!!
Dhruv's secret with his mother speaks of unquestionable faith in what he wants.

Myrah's concern for Dhruv was gentle, caring and kind...just enough for a child you have encountered but do't really know. Her look at the end definitely left her wondering about him, specially after the words left unsaid by Rudra about what the child wants. Rudra did not tell Myrah that that Dhruv is his son.

Rudra and Myrah face off with equal strength and energy.
Rudra because he doesn't know how to conduct himself with this girl who looks like his Paro and Myrah because she doesn't know what the child wants and what she has done to earn Rudra's rude behavior.

So the tirade between the two dropped many questions, hints and clues to dig for answers for the two to ponder on.
Simpler for Paro...she just has to find out who the child is and what he wants and she will know that she looks like his mother and Rudra's Paro.
More work for Rudra, who, from where, history, geography...etc. Yes Rudra...get to work because with Dhruv's help you have to bring Paro back. She cannot come to you...she has a promise to keep with Bholenath!!

Sanaya and Ashish, great performance by both. The tension between the two is one of "distance" just as it should be for Myrah and Rudra.

The best for last...the smile on Dhruv's face when Papa and "Mumma" were in an embrace...such an imp...just like Paro!! 😉

Diya, Minnu, Shweta, Tennessean and others - Beautiful posts, collages and quotes.
👏

Lovely take, Kerrie! 👏

@bold ... so now we know ... Rukmini is part of Rudra's new security firm 😆

Dhruv's logic ... simple, unquestioning ... she looks like my mother, she is where my mother should be ... therefore she is my mother.

The relationships in the Ranawat family are nice ... the openness between Rudra-Maithili, Rudra-Dhruv and Dhruv-Koel ... they talk to each other, there are no secrets between them.

Rudra-Myrah ... Rudra completely thrown off balance ... he doesn't know how to deal with Myrah, who looks like Pro, but is not Paro ... so he resorts to his only defence ... anger. Which mystifies Myrah ... because its so irrational ... first he ran away, now he's getting angry ... and she doesn't know the connection between him and Dhruv, so she's even more puzzled.

For Myrah to figure out Rudra is easy ... she just has to see a picture of Paro. Which from the latest BTS, he is going to hide from her. I guess Dhruv to the rescue!

For Rudra ... the situation is far more complicated ... the need to protect his son from heartbreak ... and the need to protect himself also from more heartbreak ... his anger is a defense mechanism to push Myrah away.

Dhruv's smile when he saw Myrah and Rudra together was cute ... but I'm not ready for Myrah-Rudra yet! 😲

The child actors are both very cute. Love their bonding.

There is always a direct communication between the Ranawats. While all serials thrive by showing misunderstandings, RR is quite unique in this matter.

Also I felt that Rudra was trying too hard to be mean to Myrah. It is always his defensive mechanism. He use to do eactly the same to Paro when she was his captive.

I love Myrah. She has too many traits of Paro. She is like a modern Paro.

RR is blessed with so talented cast that it is hard to praise one leaving out other. But a special mention to Geetanjali. I love Maithili very much.

@bold ... exactly!!!

I too love the communication between the Ranawats ... and it seems the entire family is now far more tightly knit than they ever were earlier .. even the nok jhoks between Mohini and Shatabdi is not venomous ... and Maithili has grown tremendously in confidence ... she is the acknowledged matriarch of the family. I love her too ... her character has shown the most growth

Myrah is as sweet and kind as Paro was ... but much more able to stand up for herself. Paro stood up for others, but never for herself ... Myrah fights for herself as well. Which is a good thing ... she won't let anyone ride roughshod over her or insult her and get away with it.

Sorry lovely ladies ...loved your take as always ...a little delayed with my reply .
After yesterday's episode I am truely convinced it is actors who either have or donot have scorching chemistry ...and ashish and sanaya have it in tons 😳 Whatever clothes / characters they may be in ...when they are in a scene together ...you cannot take your eyes off them .

The last scene when rudra saves myrah ...even when their was no romantic angle whatsoever was superb.

What i didn't like in the episode was too much focus on shatabdi and mohini ...like you said diya , a little bit is fine ...too much gets difficult to watch ...

The scene I really liked was little dhruv looking at myrah longingly and myrah having a serious and puzzled expression on her face ...it was telling ...

@Diya

Well you wonderfully describe the events, it really hard to add in anything more, you cover all the possible grounds, within a limited time frame and with such fine detail. 👏

This line of yours,

"Let's see who wins ... Dhruv's hope and faith ... or Rudra's realism. "

I like to see the latter happen, because at least this time I sincerely want the RR team to stick to the theory of narration and not succumb to the pressure of TRP, weave out something totally illogical. We wouldn't our hearts to be stomped upon. Let it be smart story telling, so that we could be a proud loyal fan in the end.

I liked the fact that they did not drag the intro scenes of Myrah, Rudra, Dhruv. It is fast-paced and nice to watch, ensure that reality is highlighted. Rudra and Dhruv have nice sweet talks, discuss the real issues and support each other, they bond well, understand. Rarely we get to see that on an Indian Television show, they either skip these things or drag them too much.
So with RR being unique in closing loops, I think they are doing a decent job, with the new track. Wasting no time, sticking to the point, with a tinge of suspense too.

Hope I haven't hurt you or offended you, if so, I do apologize.

Myrah and the Ranawats

Mythili and Rudra's bond I think is the only thing that has progressed genuinely from RR 1.0 to the current scenario. He confides in her, she is his pillar of support morally, they have the deepest respect for each other and it is been beautifully depicted.

They waste no time, and he reveals in no time abt the intro, what he feels abt Myrah, the new job/duty assigned and in the end is courageous enough to admit that he had a ray of hope, which Dhruv misinterprets, takes it as a sign of encouragement to go meet Myrah.

Dhruv represents all forum wasis - Why Udaipur? And his secret is safe with the millions of Parud fans and Paro. Rudra ji can sleep tight, because by hook ya crook Myrah is definitely going to adorn a colourful, pretty ghagra soon. 😉

Rukmini - ⭐️ of the forum, her surprise visit cheered millions of fans and technically had the Ranawats bump into each other, on the highway, instead of the desert. She enters when Paro is happy and is definitely a ray of sunshine.

Myrah, photography, video messages - Well they are trying to make Paro make a comeback, show a bahu rani adept with the latest trends in both, technology and fashion 👍🏼

Rohit/Ronit - Well, lets hope he doesn't make an entry in a helicopter or a camel!😉 Both would be cliched and would like to see him, in person and not via skype. 😆
I would like to see Myrah romance Ronit/Rohit and not Rudra, for now, at least until a bigger hint is left that she is Paro.
The last scene, when Rudra tries saving her and Dhruv is gleaming with joy, it did seem forced and the sparks were no where to be seen for miles, and I think was it done intentionally, or this is what is going to happen in the upcoming episodes? 🤔

Koel - She is out shadowing the new Dhruv, she is a nice kid and needs to learn to keep secrets.😆 If she hadn't uttered that Dhruv was off to see his mummy, who knew Myrah would have seen the photograph and taken the kid home.
To be honest, in the scene, for a second I thought when the opened the door of her car, she was actually offering the kid to come in, having she recognized him from the market. 😆

Well Myrah is definitely going to be compared to Paro, given we look close-eyed to hunt for clues and I have a feeling it would a simple silly one and we would all go when they reveal the "kamaal ka twist"!

In fact, I don't think many of us did not anticipate Rukmini to return, so I believe this RR 2.0 would fly and in no time, things would sort out.

KoShaMo

Well I think Mohini's character growth is being penned down as we speak, and thus the comic version is being used as filler scenes. The actress is brilliant and I think she needs to make a comeback and the Vamp. It is nice to see her interact with Shatapdi without taunting her, murdering her verbally and I think Koel is the reason for her softening.

8 saal ka SJ ji ke terms mein, symballisms - Mohini accepts a bahu rani finally

Sumer - He is having the time of his life, normally a person in his situation would go 😡 and stuck between Mummy and wife, but he seems to handling it well and enjoying the "Achaar ka buisness".

Yes a bit stretched, but I think over all, appealing to the TRP aunties. They do love their share of drama.

All in all, a wonderful episode, a decent start for the week, with Paro in out hearts, minds and soul, it is tough to even think about Myrah becoming a Mummy even before her marriage (to Ronit). Dhruv is definitely going to get a lecture from Mythili and Rudra today!😆

zeffky ... thank you very much for your sweet words, and the lovely post.

Am going to respond to @blue in detail ... I was having a discussion with some friends on this. One girl felt that the best way would be to show Rudra move on, maybe keeping Myrah only as a friend, another girl and myself felt differently ... but we all agreed that a brand new love story would not work.

Looking at RR 2.0 from the POV of the cvs ... if they had to start a completely new love story, it makes no sense keeping one of the characters of the old love story the same and only changing the other ... especially when there are no compulsions like an actor leaving etc, which usually dictate such decisions. Also, if they felt the love story had run its course, then they would have killed both of them off, and come back with a generation leap.

If you look at other shows, the only time they show a character moving on with a second spouse is when the first one has died prior to the show starting ... which means the audience has no connect with the previous love story ... or if the first spouse is a vamp (check YHM). I don't think Indian TV has advanced to the stage where they can show a man moving on with a second spouse, after such a strong love story with the first one ... and in this show, they have not only shown a divine connection to the PaRud story, they have also maintained it after the leap, by bringing in repeated flashbacks of Paro, and now by bringing back Rukmini.

So they have to show a connection between Myrah and Paro ... that is a given. If they had to show Rudra moving on with a new woman in his life ... accepted ... life goes on, and people have to move with it ... but moving on with a humshakal of his old wife ??? That is ridiculous ... because even in story terms, wouldn't Rudra be reminded of Paro every time he looked at Myrah? In which case, how would he ever get over Paro? And how unfair would that be to Myrah ... not to ever know whether her husband loved her for herself, or because she reminded him of his first wife? Recipe for disaster. Plus a girl like Myrah, full of life, being saddled with a seven year old stepson in her first marriage ... she can be a great friend to him ... but not a mother ... not the Myrah we have seen till now. And why would her rich, loving parents allow her to marry a crusty old widower with a kid, and with a very obvious hangover of his first wife?

(Speaking of old ... Ashish needs to get a trim and a shave ... currently he's looking like Myrah's dad ... credit to him for ageing well ... and to Sanaya for looking like a teenager in most shots ... esp with that figure )

And from the cv's POV ... how would they build up the love story again with a soul connection, but without bringing in the similar looks as the sticking point? They can never do away with the similar looks ... they have to build a better connection ... because it is laughable that Rudra, after loving Paro, can ever fall for a woman with the same face, and NOT remember Paro again.

I am completely with you that they need to take the Myrah-Rudra story very slowly ... the lack of sparks at the first hug, I will attribute to good acting ... both actors know when to switch on the chemistry and when to keep it dormant.

Diya,

Paro can also stand up for herself.
And that too always with Rudra.

I also agree. she never accepted injustice to others or to herself. Her ways were different. Remember her stubbornness and her silent treatment to Rudra during their wedding rituals. She was a fighter and thats one of the things what we liked about her.

Myrah is just a modern version of Paro. She is just as a pure soul as Paro.

That's true ... but with Rudra only ... and that too, not always.

While she stood for Maithili in front of Mohini ... yet allowed Mohini to trouble her and say things to her ... I don't see Myrah allowing anything of the sort. On the other hand, since she is rich and related to a Minister, doubt Mohini will say anything to her either 😆

Paro did allow others to dictate her life ... the choice of Varun as groom, for example, and the rushed first wedding, because Tejawat wanted it.
Myrah has allowed her parent's choice of groom ... but she knows the guy herself, is friends with him ... yet not in love with him.

Will have to see what similarities and differences between Paro and Myrah they bring up ... apart from the obvious ones, of course.

Diya ji,

You have such depth and meaning in each and every word, they are quite thought-provoking.

Well I got to see your wonderful response on the Hope & Faith thread, I was quite surprised it was this response. 😳

@Red - Well, I may have something different to offer. I think, in the worst case scenario, if Myrah is Myrah then the RR 2.0 would focus on her transforming into Paro, as in she enters their lives and changes her huliya for the sake of the father and the kid, and thus the love saga begins 2.0 begins and very aptly put a recipe for disaster! 👎🏼

But on the other hand, that happening is illogical. Rudra and Dhruv both respect each other, share their thoughts and I think Myrah becoming a mummy is out of the picture, at least until it is proven she is Paro. This is what I think is helping RR to stay on track, not use the kid to force a romance between the new version of the leads, but focusing on the back and forth of what the father-son duo think.

Dhruv - Myrah is Paro
Rudra - Myrah is not Paro

Which position they are in and what the other thinks about the same has clarity, not too many unnecessary MUs

Myrah - On vacation, a tourist has a security officer, concerned abt Dhruv, as a human and no mummy connection there definitely. She is going to befriend him though, if she enters the Haveli.

Dhruv - Papa is upset, and Mummy is there, in a different roop

Rudra - Dhruv needs to accept things and Myrah is not Paro, until Myrah tells him about Rukmini (I think that would be the turning point, him having a look at the photographs Myrah took, and slip out the fact that Paro's connection to the same)

The point that you have mentioned - Killing only one of them, that is selling point, right there. This is poignant and you have made so much sense, the connection is something happening soon, and is going to make RR 2.0 interesting.

The makers, like you brilliantly suggest, would make a connection and leave us all spell-bound. Rudra having the utmost love and respect for his wife, would never, I think, accept her last wish, to stay happy, as in this case, with Myrah's entry, move on. He would stay loyal to Paro till his very last breath and that is eternal love story, yet to unfold.

Myrah is the medium through which PaRud would reunite, as in we would have the connections being made, one by one, and in the end Rudra would see Bhole baba shower his blessings.

Myrah clearly has a different agenda - Choose a location, get married etc.. She is no where close to support Rudra and acknowledge his grievances, having the story is yet to unfold, her past is to be connected, and that is something that is going to keep us hooked.

@Orange - I think no other justification would exist, lovely and bang on!
Ashish Sir and Sumer seem to be the youngest Papa's on Television, haven't aged a bit in 7-8 years. Maybe a salt-pepper look could do the trick, that would make Myrah wonder if she is to romance Major Saab or no? 😆 She did look like Dhruv's didi, when she met him at the market, while trying out various hats.

Yup he does need to have a haircut, that would help the pankhe run less, when they need to make hair flutter, in the aane wale romantic scenes!😆

Sanaya truly does carry herself well, with both the traditional and western outfit!

A lovely, insightful read and I wonder how patient you are, to explain things so clearly and hope this is reply is not a letdown.
