"Sometimes you have to lie to protect the people you love"
Hello RR Buddies, I know everyone is upset at the impending doom full of blood and gore and possible death of a loved character in this show. And all the spoilers, news and off-screen bytes aren't helping one bit with everything pointing in that direction everyone seems to be dreading! Talk about bombarding the audience with what you want them to believe will happen...😳
But, yes, a big BUT - I've decided to stay in my bubble and until something like that is explicitly shown, will not buy into it, no matter what. So, I was watching one of the off-screen segments (pretty hard to avoid one these days) where Shantanu was in pursuit of a terrorized Paro who was shown running around trying to escape. And as a desperate attempt to save her baby's life, she places him inside her wardrobe. I do not know what happens after that because I did not watch any off-screen segments beyond that point.
And that particular act stood out to me and got me thinking about two things, why a baby and why show her protecting her newborn in that manner? Surely there has to be a reason! They could have easily shown a leap without a baby, so hastily conceived that it's been subject to much ridicule the past week...! So why then was a baby so necessary for this particular leap?
The parallels between what Paro does to save her child and what Snow did to protect her child, family and the kingdom from getting destroyed at the hands of the Evil queen is hard to ignore. Now...now, I understand there are no witches, or magic or even an Enchanted Forest here but hear me out for a second. Not going to explicitly state where I think we may be headed to but here's something...just give it a thought will you?
