Superb post hiralnehal.. U know 6 months ke RR journey mein pehli baar main bore feel ho rahi thi kal ke epi dekh ke time pe...:-(... Aur ye dipping trps aur depressing kar rahe hai..;-(.. Hope sab acha hojaye aur humein apna RR wapas miljaye.. Bas.

A wonderful post. I've been a vehement defender of RR for so long, even during the not so great tracks. However, from Mala's arrival until now, the show has gone off its rocker and even I cannot find any way to defend the show anymore. I've even lost interest in it and I never thought this would ever happen.

I understand how vital TRPs are to a show's longevity and I don't blame ST and team experimenting with other tracks at all. However, why continue to experiment for so long when these tracks aren't working in terms of ratings? If experimentation does not work, shouldn't they go back to their original premise and come out guns blazing, in terms of tight story and characters, no matter the ratings? These are professionals and they should know that 'story is the hero', but ST is looking to get ratings in terms of 'shock value and twists' instead of having a concrete and airtight story. Word of mouth would've spread if they stayed closer to their original premise. Unfortunately, Colors and ST had bloated egos prior to RR's debut and when it didn't work, they panicked. They didn't wait long enough. I remember a top TRP show now wasn't doing well in the first few months, but look at it now - it's at the top. Why? Because the channel and PH believed in the story, which is what ST and Colors should've done.

I hope there's a way to convey this to ST. I feel it's still not too late for RR to be salvaged with this Shantanu track. If they focus on Rudra and Paro equally, it has a chance to catch people's attention. Right now, the USP of the show (Rudra and Paro's love story) has become a prop. By not focusing on it, there's nothing to show that will attract anyone to the show and that's a fact: when Parud were focused on, TRPs were higher. I hope the writers get their heads straight and focus on a story instead of ratings. Whatever happens though, it would have been a pleasure to journey with RR with the good and the bad.

You said it all very nicely. I so feel bad for the bestest leads and supporting cast this show has which are being wasted by the makers in their haphazard chase after trps.
As an ardent admirer of Sanaya, and now Ashish too, i'll watch Rr as long as it runs, hoping it will improve and last longer.
