Actually, for better or for worse, I'm glad that Mala's emotions are not being focused on. And I say that only because I feel Sadiya hasn't done justice portraying the guilty mother at all! She usually has a deadpan face and no voice modulation. The only time she lights up is when she smiles, unfortunately the story doesn't call for that a lot.

That is my other gripe with Mala (the character, not Sadiya). Everytime I've seen her get emotional, she is only talking about herself - how she was wronged, how she isn't as bad as her son thinks she is, how she doesn't deserve his hatred. And what was the point in stopping Dilsher when he was trying to confess to the family that he was an abusive husband, and then going and telling Paro everything herself. Okay, I'm doing it again ... I'm going down that downward spiral again! I'll stop!

Again, I'm with you 😆 I hardly care about Mala, but I do want to see Paro's emotions. Her thoughts and feelings aren't dwelled on enough. Sadiya's acting is a disappointment, she is too soft for me.

You're so right, even when Mala claims to be back to win her son over she cries about the injustices that have been done to her, how it's not fair that Rudra is misjudging her. It's all about her isn't it.

@bold...Honestly I wondered that as well 😆 It didn't make any sense to me, just looked unnecessary and OTT...but didn't mention it in the forum because I didn't want to sound so picky. 😛

When Paro basically goes to Rudra and says, "In your face! Mala left for a good reason!" I was like...dude...it's not about why Mala left...ok great Mala had a valid reason to leave, though she should have tried harder to take her son with her...but it's not just about Mala's reason for departure...it's also her departure itself...that pained Rudra...that tormented him for 15 years...is Rudra supposed to feel better, are those 15 years of pain all just supposed to disappear because Mala's reason for running away is suddenly justified? C'mon Paro, just give your hubby a hug and show him some emotional solidarity, that's all he wants from you.

@Zee: I read your reply on the previous posts and the responses here. I understand from where you are coming and I do get it! I get annoyed when they sideline FL - but here its mostly been Rudra POV throughout. Paro's emotions other than love and sacrifice are not shown. thats a gripe for me too. But the PH is taking our feedback seriously I believe - they have improved the direction, camera angles, romantic scenes and balancing between Parud and family drama.
If only her monologues are shown, it will help the audience connect better with her!!Though I dont like dragging, sometimes it is too fast paced or to keep the suspense or whatever, many things are glossed over!!

I think the family scene was to show him that he was loved - because that is his main complaint - no one loved him. His parents are at fault, they are flawed, they dont deserve forgiveness. But its never about them is it? Its about HIM. What he needs! 15 years is a long time for anyone to feel unworthy ? Does he deserve it? Does any child deserve it? He needs to let it go so he can live the life he deserves with Paro. Does the end justify the means ?? Sometimes, I dont know Zee! And thats when I take a step back and just enjoy what they show instead of breaking my head 😆😆😆

@BOLD: BINGO! EXACTLY! That's what I am saying! Paro has also been getting so many things wrong since Mala came back. First, she told her that she needs to be admired for having to courage to come back to right her wrongs (while tending to her wounds in BSD) - totally ignoring the fact that Mala came back only because she had nowhere else to go! And because Laila was trying to use her as a pawn to get back in Rudra's good books. Then she told Rudra that she couldn't see HER Thakurain Maasa in pain, which is why she kept going back to her. I mean, really?! If she is your maasa like you claim she is, how come you aren't questioning her as to why she left her son? She did perfunctorily ask that question once when they were at Laila's, but then she just went on talking without waiting for an answer and it was never mentioned again. Uff!!
