Lovely posts Sush... I loved today's epi...

I totally agree with you on Laila...!
Only point to Rudy is because he broke up with her before he came to Birpur...

i agree with you Sush that she was hurt by Rudra's behaviour and had every right to expect something - some explanation on why Paro is different or why she isn't and wasn't enough for Rudra. If the creators had kept her like she was at the Haldi ceremony and prior to that I would be more sympathetic. But they turned her into a conniving, manipulative woman who is easy to dislike. It was a one dimensional characterization by the creators to boost the ratings (it worked) and bring Parud closer.

As a viewer if they wanted me to feel sympathetic towards Laila they should have had her speak about all that she gave up to be with Rudra; how his marriage has left her reeling; how she wanted revenge for his casual use of her. But the minute she tried to undermine Paro and use her good, kind, naive nature she lost me.

Rudra deserved whatever Laila threw his way but Paro didn't. Spending one day with Paro and you realize she's not the type to "steal" a man unless the man wants to be stolen. Her anger if directed at Rudra I could have gotten behind but then Laila decided she wanted him back. WHY???? He's humiliated you at every turn and you still want him?
Can you not see he does not want you? Use your brain; yes, I realize emotions are involved but THINK Instead of sympathy I felt Laila was pathetic. Have some self respect like she did during their confrontation at haldi. She told him it was over and then she comes back two months later and changes her mind????

I'm sure she will be back sooner rather than later but I'm glad she's gone for now.

@Sush, 😆

@habs, I was just about to reply to Sush's post... But good I came across yours before I posted mine. You have summarized it very well. I have nothing to add to it. This is exactly why I can't sympathize with Laila. Unfortunately in indian teles, a women can't have an affair with the hero and be a nice girl. She has to be cunning and devious so that people can hate her and accept the hero.

I totally agree with what you say here. I always liked the Laila- Rudra equation, I thought they had a very adult thing going on that was mutually satisfying and fulfilling. For Rudra to imply that she was not good enough to love, or not as good as Paro in understanding and giving love, was so below the belt. I wanted to reach into the TV and smack him one!
I feel the writers have destroyed Laila. They made her devious and sinister and almost criminal. I wanted to see a Laila who was none of these things, just a woman whose world was suddenly pulled from under her, when the man she was in a steady relationship with, suddenly married someone else! It would have been a treat to watch Rudra being torn between the woman he was in an intimate relationship with, and the women he found himself married to.
But alas, the writers took the easy way out, and made Laila into out and out Vamp.

Totally agree with you .. they made Laila into out and out vamp...
But i think that they too easy route ...must be because of the audience... Audience is not ready for the real "trikone"... remember the flood of post last weekend.. 😉😉😉😉

She isn't...

LOVING IT in a perverse sort of way!!!!🤣

I still don't get it. I am sure Mohini will give a hoot about Laila once she is out of the Haveli. But when Laila said, "Tum bhi din gina suru kar de, Mohini." I got confused. What is there for Laila to gain by challenging or hurting Mohini?? In the whole episode all I saw was Mohini doing everything Laila asked her to do. She warned Laila of Rudra's plan. She tried her best to support and help Laila in the last scene. So why have any ill feelings towards Mohini???
😕

@Bold,

Hey hope I love your posts - don't think I've ever told you that.

The bolded part is what pisses me to be honest. Hello Rudra actively participated 😉 in his eight year relationship with Laila and it's Laila that's the evil one. I guess in Indian tele the trp aunties aren't ready to see a triangle - where no one is to blame.

The least you can do is not put her down...what has she taken from him that he is so upset about? He did get a lot out of the relationship for his own benefit ...as far as I can see...unless there is a part of that story that is hidden...

I know...most fans would rather not hear criticism for Rudy's character ...and probably don't want me to be any where close to be sympathetic to Laila...but I just can't help it...despite ...all her bad deeds...there is a woman who invested 8 years of her life with a man she loved...and got a comparison on how she is not adequate in return...Hmmm...that's not right...is it? I did like it that he did not let Laila speak disrespectfully of Paro! That was GREAT!Way to go on that Rudy!

Shwets thanks for the collage girl...YOU ROCK!!!

Sush ,

I was hoping you give me an opportunity to kill you, thanks babe 😆 You and me both can sympathize with Laila ...but I respectfully disagree with you ...

Did Rudy ask Laila to invest 8 yrs of her life ... she loves him but does she really ? Rudra has never promised anything to Laila , she knows he doesn't believe in love .Twice today Rudra addressed Laila as his dost ...why did she not correct him ? Why should Rudra not compare her to Paro she opened the door knowing very well what was coming her way . Holding a gun on Paro's shoulder and then trying to shoot Rudra ...well not done . I think Rudra had lots of patience past few days ...like she has been saying she knows the man for 8 yrs if she really knew him she wouldn't have dug her own grave. I agree Rudra was harsh but then that's the only language she understands .

YUp!

It is always simple...
Good girls...and bad girls...Good girls deserve all the good things...bad girls deserve to be treated the way they are treated...

For men...entirely different criterion...bad is OK...even charming at times...
And don't forget preaching anyone any where on morality is always an acceptable thing to do...everyone has the right to judge others...and condemn them...at will...free pass...irrespective of your own participation in such acts...

There are no good acts or bad acts...there are only good people and bad people...same acts by bad people are bad...and by good people are good...

yesterday you asked me why am I sympathetic to Laila...when I hated Shyam...
And the reason is very simple...

Shyam had a loving wife and he was eyeing an innocent girl...and was going to take advantage of her...while hiding the truth...

Based on what I know about Laila so far...

She is a woman who has stayed in a monogamous relationship with Rudy, cared for and tended to his needs while accepting his inability to commit...giving him his breathing space when he was not ready...and in return...what she gets is nothing (which she has to accept) but also disrespect for the ver same thing that Rudy benefitted from ...

I feel that she has been wronged at some level...while Shyam was trying to wrong other people for his own lust...hence the difference...

Sush- do we know that her relationship with him was monogamous? She was a nachne-ganne wali and danced for many events for Tejawat too.
