As my UN suggests, its just my POV -- not written on stone but written on sand 😆😆😆😆😆 and I believe people react to situations differently and what is right for me could be wrong for you.
As a woman, I sympathize with both Paro and Laila. I think the physical aspect though nauseating would not be what will shock me but the utter callousness of the very relationship. She was a crutch to him but the treatment, did she deserve it ?
Today when Rudra allowed the hug, I felt somewhere he finally understood Laila's stand. Until he can understand Laila and move forward, how can he give his total self to Paro. Denial of any feeling in their benaam rishta is false isnt it? It is convenience, dependence whatever, but you got to respect a woman who was willing to take whatever you gave her without compliant. How many of us would have taken such a relation? Does it make her lesser human? No way! What went wrong was that like someone said he helped her with her demons. She did not push his boundaries because both of them were burning in similar fire. She too could have been abandoned or sold betrayed by her own? I see a parallel between her and Nandhini.
With the way laila behaved with Paro, I feel its within character. She burnt Paro during the haldi ceremony, she burnt her eyes, she burnt the sabzi. Like Laila keeps telling, she is fire, so she burns. Why does she hurt Paro. Because when she hurts Paro, she hurts Rudra. what affects Rudra the most - Paro. And do you remember doing the haldi sequence she says that Paro has the same effect that his mom has on him. The same tadap. So if Paro moves out of his life, wouldnt he go back to his crutch for solace. Please remember she is not educated or brought up in cities like us to have classy behavior. She has lived a nomad's life and behaves the same way. Her excessive behavior is just that - she has always lived on her ada and tumkas. Her pretending to be an innocent woman is to insinuate into Paro's heart. How can she convince Paro she is genuine and meant to be with Rudra? If she shows her true colors, will Paro accept her? We always think based on our perception (like Paro said). Laila did not think she deserved a marriage with Rudra, so she never forced his hand and was fine when he said he ddnt believe in that institution. So Paro will only accept her if she is sanskari, right? And she has seen him sleeping with his wife - He did not sleep with Laila( the whole night). Initially, he used to refuse to share his bed with Paro too but Laila does not know that.
Though the actor overacts, that is Laila for you. She is all around the place. And she comes across weak and pathetic in front of the others cos she is the 3rd wheel. Kakisa is no 3rd wheel. She is just a canon like Rudra 😆😆😆😆. She cannot overpower the others by her looks or behavior. She should be a contrast to Parud and that is what is being depicted here. I feel the execution could have been better. Though I hated the bangle and sindoor scene, for me it was just her way of taking what she wants. She has learnt the hard way, you have to grab what you want. no one will give anything for free. And she believes she is irresistible and desirable because she knows how to make a man happy. Hasnt she been able to keep Rudra with her for 8 years? When she follows him, though he warns her, he has used her. So his actions and words have always been different. So like laila asked what went wrong in her love that he chose another. isnt that a valid question?
Laila is fire to his fire but Paro is the rain to to his desert. Rain can soothe or sting too. Fire, it can warm or burn. So when Laila was justifying herself, I felt Rudra wanted Paro to talk. He had said everything to her, now it was her turn to turn to him.
Just read my post and it feels like I dont like Rudra. I love Parud, both Paro and Rudra. One is incomplete without the other. Just like the title song says. he has molded Paro; now its her turn 😳😳😳😳
About the hug and wrist holding, dont I ddnt like it, that is Rudra for you. He hurt her for hurting his wife. Simple. The hug, when she was talking, he was thinking about Paro. Even when he came out of coma, its Paro. And please remember he too is emotionally down. He is not there physically, he has closed his mind to Laila. Even when Paro came, he looks at her with hope, fear and a need for acceptance. Will she be his rashak or bhakshak? Only time will say
Like SRK says, Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost. So lets wait for the whole scene to play out.
