I second that.

The character still has immense potential. Any good actor would be willing to take it up.

Not amused by his veiled digs at the TRPs. If I am not mistaken, the TRPs improved after the love story began.

This is probably gonna be an unpopular post, but I think Tarun quitting is his loss too. Tejawat is a supremely interesting character, whose story hasn't ended, so why quit? While it's clear the PH is trying to get the ratings, which is why Tejawat-Mala has been put on the back burner, they clearly haven't forgotten about him. He is mentioned quite a bit on the show.

I honestly don't and can't blame the PH because there is immense pressure on them to get the ratings and I sympathize with them. They haven't been able to tell the story they originally intended to because of these blasted TRPs. Even when Tarun/Tejawat was in the story, TRPs weren't moving, so they're forced to deviate on different avenues. There is obviously so much scope for Tarun's acting as Tejawat that I hope when the PH is ready to begin his track, he'll be willing to come back. It's a shame for the PH and him if he doesn't come back.

If he doesn't though, it's no loss for me because as much as I love Tarun as Tejawat, I'm more invested in the character than the actor. The PH has been stellar in their casting choices, so if they choose a replacement, I'm sure they'll find a good one.

I agree with you because ST and the creatives are probably trying to get the Trps up and frankly speaking I care more about Rudra and Paro's love story more than any character. A good villain is important but if Tarun has other work and doesn't want to wait then ST can't do anything about that. I wish Tarun all the best in the future.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that's what he said? That he saw the TRPs for last week and they have improved? So he implied that yes the makers thought a focus on Parud would get better TRPs and they were right because the TRPs have in fact improved compared to what they were when he was on the show?

You provide valid points, I am inclined to agree with you...however I am confused as to whether TK quit or was shown the door. He implies that he was given no choice but to leave the show...and when asked if he will back in the show...he smirks and says just go on youtube and watch my old scenes if you really want to see Tejawat...

^^ It sounded like a veiled dig to me. The TRPs are really not that great... quite fluctuating, really. People don't always mean what they say.

Aw man, and from his entire interview he seemed like a really nice guy 😛 Really gotta stop being so naive

this is going to be a unpopular post and i dont mean to be negative
any show can be written or watched for
1.its character
2.story
here what i felt is more focus is on story rather than characters ,one explanation for the pace
if they want to make the story interesting takur is a very essential and strong part , i mean takur , i dont mind any good actor playing takur

now if takur has a substantial role why will any actor not want to play it , trps is a measure for makers , but actors it is more about popularity , IPK was not a trp topper , but the ML got many offers because the role made him popular

all i can say is i hope the character of takur is not compromised , because whether it is kaki or laila , there are reduced to being catalyst in bringing paro and rudra together , they largely lack motive
something which was not true when the show began , there was motive and strong motive

this is purely my POV

Awww. Hota hai. 😊

He is not a bad guy, just a shrewd one. In that like of work, one needs to be shrewd to survive. I just feel if he is no longer interested, it is better he quits. If one longer believes in something, it is impossible to give a 100%.

Pri

What I make out from the interview is that he has not been given a timeframe as to when the Thakur would be back on the show. He is a good actor, and would not like to leave out plum projects waiting for ST to call him back. Quite justified.

I too hope Thakur's character is not compromised. And I doubt it will. Mohini is in for the kitchen politics. Her motives really did not make sense. Thakur is much more shrewd and evil... plus there is a back story with Mala.
