Rudra would not believe it yet. He will need some time to get it into his system - Real pain will come then... Hope he doesn't fall into that Khoobsoorat aurat syndrome again. There is more sensible ways to grieve after all.

She did what she had planned to.

I agree, but will he wait that long? Do you think he will sit back and do nothing?

Shade.

Paro had always known this was going to be tough but she hadn't really given thought as to how difficult it would actually be and how gutted it would make her feel. The voice that started off as a faint whisper soon grew loud and it hit home pricking her conscience making it mighty difficult for her to ignore it.

He deserves the truth. He deserves the truth. He deserves the truth. It said.

Paro knew that of course. She had intentionally avoided dealing with it because of one reason, and one reason alone, herself. Paro knew she did not have it in her to look into the eyes of the man she loved, the man who meant the most to her and the man who had become her world that she was going to leave him forever. She did not possess the strength to bid that kind of a farewell knowing fully well the hurt, the confusion that would reflect in his amber eyes would mirror her own. So she had done the only thing she could think of, run away literally through the back door.

But it was taking an unbearable toll on her conscience, for a woman of devotion with an unwavering faith in the divine, this act of hers felt despicably wrong, how ironic she thought, given the deal that was made with god himself! As the bus sped towards the border of Chandangarh and her destination, Paro began to panic, all of a sudden, it was too much for her and she felt like the world was caving in taking her along!

Very next moment though, she was rudely jerked out of her thoughts as the bus came to a screeching halt, "flat tyre...don't panic" said a loud voice from the other end of the bus.

She sought out shade at the base of the huge Banyan tree where most people from the bus had assembled, as she inched closer, a voice, very calm and serene spoke to her - the same voice everyone else was listening to intently as he talked to another man, who looked visibly distraught, clearly trying to comfort him. For Paro though, it felt like those words were meant for her, and that the man who wore jaded clothes, and a worn out chappal meant it for her, and her alone.

"When there is no answer in sight as far as you can see, and you feel like the world is caving in towards you taking you deeper into it the heart of the chaos, your faith will waver and you will inevitably question its relevance. But remember, the only thing that can help you overcome this rut is by letting go of that very thing which is causing you pain by surrendering to the higher powers that you cannot see but have felt at every moment of your life, in the warmth of your mother's embrace and continue to feel through your heartbeats, through the rising sun and in all the things you have to be grateful of, only in that surrender lies your freedom from that misery. In faith lies your answer"

Paro felt inexplicably drawn, as the soft voice calmed her frayed nerves, providing relief from all the self-inflicted chaos, "But what if it is what god wants?" Paro interjected before she could help it.

He looked up at her, and her breath felt hitched, there was something in those eyes, something powerful beyond anything she had ever experienced before as if he could see through her external shell right into the soul, and yet she only felt warmth and compassion come through to her in waves and waves, it felt surreal!

He gave her an all knowing smile, "Do not be quick to assume what he wants unless you possess the wisdom to discern the difference between his will and what you think, infer to be his will. Are you sure your perception is not colored?"

Ok, unless someone gives an insight on bholenah's ways, Paro will carry on what she does. But still, keeping Rudra in the dark was not the right thing to do. This advice is much needed. How will it be useful, waiting to see.

Wow! I loved the advice. Hope Paro takes cue from that and does something about this situation that is giving her a lot of pain.
Amazingly written 👏

Faith... SHe still has it and it is glad that Paro is rethinking her decision...
"Do not be quick to assume what he wants unless you possess the wisdom to discern the difference between his will and what you think, infer to be his will. Are you sure your perception is not colored?"

This one simple thought is the highlight of the whole update for me...

Such deep words so simply and artistically written... Thanks... I have learnt to make do with the short updates thanks to such thoughts.. :)
